Hi folks, just a quick question. I live in quite a Republican area of the North, there would be the odd mural although there are no flags or arches or anything like that.
Now, I know this is a sensitive issue and I hope that everyone has the ability to be at least a little mature when it comes to discussing this but...
If you came from a Nationalist/Republican background would you feel safe meeting someone in an area with lots of Union Jacks/Loyalist murals and would a Unionist/Loyalist feel safe meeting me where I live, with murals and everything?
Also, can I take the opportunity to say I don't give a fuck what religion or political persuasion someone comes from. If someone is decent to me, I'll be decent to them.
I should also make it clear that the only reason I ask is that after 7 weeks of chatting to someone and building a connection when she was coming here she said she didn't feel safe which I completely respect, as much as I was disappointed lol.
(If this turns into a shitshow with people pinning their flag to the mast I'll just delete the thread, make love not war!!)  |

To be honest if it's gonna cause problems from the get go your best meeting on neutral ground.We like yourself don't care what colour or greed anyone is if there are decent respectful people but can understand people's apprehension regarding this matter . |

I told her straight up that she'd be driving past two murals. Although one of them is almost non-political that's not the point. I had suggested a hotel meet which she declined.
I'm just curious. I know it's been a long time since the troubles (in the grand scheme of things not that long) but I'm on this site to meet people and form sexual relationships. It's pretty much the most basic primal thing there is, a few flags wouldn't put me off meeting that sexy older lady/gentleman lol |

I've met and play with numerous people from the north. I couldn't care less if what their political ideas are. I've ended up in a house in an area flying the union jack and the kerbs painted blue white and red. It didn't bother me in the slightes.. |
