Did they discuss sharing the cost. Only time I got caught was when i wrongly assumed the person I'd arranged to meet would be willing to split, but we hadn't discussed and they never offered |

If he sneaked out at 7.00am I'd say your friend was lucky to be only caught for the 170.
If a man couldn't foot the cost of a room he is hardly worth meeting (imo). |

Always worth sorting out the money before the fun begins...
It's only fair and the woman doesn't have any chance of having to feel uncomfortable receiving money after doing the deed. This may sound harsh, but it is worth mentioning...

Nobody should solely foot the cost of a room !! It's 50/50 .. It's swinging, a lifestyle that involves sharing after all

Nobody should solely foot the cost of a room !! It's 50/50 .. It's swinging, a lifestyle that involves sharing after all

It would be only fair to go halfs on the cost if a guy was meeting a couple. (And got to stay the night)

While we've no reason to doubt the OP is genuine, I agree with you dirtylatte this is the start of a slippery slope and the reason admin doesn't allow naming and shaming. He said / she said will only lead to more gossip and sniping and there is enough of that on the forums as is. |

Dont understand why payments for hotels cannot be made before anyone has any fun. When we meet in hotels its the first thing too be done before any fun is had saves the issue of someone doing a runner. Also we do not prebook rooms on our credit card or debit card its done true cash in a nearby coffee shop or pub or the lobby of the hotel. Only time we ever prebook rooms is for the likes of meet and greets or trips away etc. |

Last hotel meet I just left the money in an envelope and while myself and the his gorgeous wife got aquatinted mr checked the amount _o hassle and we all had fun
Bad form running off after all no one is made of money and it just ruins the whole experience |

We've never come across one that allows cash payment they generally need card payment and details etc I suppose this covers them for any unpaid bills etc |

im just saying in our experince only in the last 5 years we have gotten credit cards an debit cards so before that we just rang the hotel an never had an issue in paying in cash when we arrived. |

In fairness to the op the thread wasn't about warning others of a particular fabber, he asked of this happens to anyone else before. Also there are some very good tips on this thread to avoid getting stung. |

on checking in they still ask card details with what you booked.. even if choosing pay cash.
Once I forget card so they taked 200e cash deposit what got back on check out |

we have done it in the past an the only ID i had was a safe pass an that was good enough for them i paid the 85 euro room rate in cash an i was checked in. I guess some hotels will do it an others wont. This is going back when we didnt have any debit cards we only had our student 365 banking card which was well useless it would only allow you too withdraw cash from atms. So back then we had too ring hotels an ask could i make cash payments on that day an we never had an issue. They where more than happy too help us due too us not having a debit card or credit card. So it can be done though could depend on the hotel. |
