Couple or singles.. A no show is bad form. Do they not realize that the community is small and your reputation as a no show merchant gets around irrespective of how many new profiles you create...

I think a system for showing up should be on Fab. Not that hard to introduce either...

Sorry to hear that. That's certainly not nice but you might have to look at your selection process. Were they verified?

A text even within an hour of meeting would be nothing more than good manners..had a few no shows myself along with some pig awful excuses to go with them.

Awk now, to be fair, when my goldfish's grandfather's dead dog had gout it was a very traumatic time for me

Glad that didn't happen when we were due to meet Pete.

I've had a few "alien abductions " myself. If I don't hear from them the morning of a meet then I know it's not going to happen.

I've had too many lately, I'm really getting fed up of it, I don't know who too believe anymore, I put my plans off with friends, just too go out of my way too make an effort, and then they go & cancel, such time wasters. And I actually talk too them on the phone weeks beforehand, and yet they do it.

Do you guys report no shows on the site? I think you can do that and if that happens a lot theses profiles are dealt with by admins.

I think we need a new type of verification system. No shows and fakes are rife.

We are all getting annoyed with time wasters and the like.

Something needs to be done about it. Anyone have any suggestions?

A verification method that cannot be abused, that shows no shows and time wasters.

Must be the season for it. Ive had a few "arranged meets" and like that were either no shows or just never messeged me back. Bad form as it only takes one messege to say if someone changed their minds

There already is exactly that. Go into the menu - "Report User" - and one of the options is "arranged a meet but didn't turn up".

Note - there is a (BIG) difference between a user who cancels with a late excuse and someone who simply doesn't show up at a meet as arranged without any communication.

I've had plenty of both over the years...

Yes it is terrible but it is always going to happen and half the time I just don't believe someone will show and the thing is too good to be true

Think almost everyone have had no show up.

Worst is if you travel and book hotel what was planned share the cost of it...

Might go to Dublin next weekend.. Im actually scared make plans while knowing how many cancels last minute or just not show up.. and even ones who says oh trust me I wouldn't do it..

True, I had to cancel a coffee meet due to migraine last weekend, these things do genuinely happen.

Thanks I don't realise that!

I know there is a big difference and there lies the the problem, where misuse can come in.

I would love to know who puts in all the effort in getting to the stage of a meet and then not turn up and not reap the rewards of the effort . Seems crazy to me
