"Arranging a meet and not showing up or given explanation.... "
This - anything else and the other party is making their own choices to chat endlessly or whatever. Nobody here "owes" anyone anything except to turn up as arranged or give notice if having to cancel (and emergencies do sometimes happen). We all have lives outside fab, or at least one would hope so. |

Did have to cancel a meet before, explained why i did and ended up meeting them again.
If you are honest with people and your not wasting their time, people can be very understanding.
But if you are trying to play people as fools and cancelling a couple times, well thats a true sign of a time waster. |

Or the ones that come on here whinging saying they cant get verified , then you put it up to them saying we will meet you and all of a sudden grannies start dying , poor aul doggies getting all kinds of sickness , then you see their profile 6 months later and still not verified |

"Someone who wastes time, either their own,or someone elses.
That's very vague "
Vague but that's the definition of a timewaster. There's no different category, either you're waiting time or you're not simple as that. |

Little bit rude. Your opinion and all that but have to disagree. Safe to say some peoples definition of timewaster varies widely. Odd thing is it seems the men use the word a lot more regularly then others. Wonder why that is?

In my opinion
A time waster from here would be someone who arranges to meet then intentionally doesn't.
I exclude those who just get last minute nerves and chicken out, yes I suppose those are time waster too but they didn't mean to so in my mind it doesn't count.
Chatting for any amount of time is just time spent deciding |

You could actually argue, that someone who clearly states on the profile that he/she/they're not meeting is/are the least of a time waster. |

I agree ! You are straight letting them know you won't be making plans to meet! I took some time out had very busy personal life for awhile. I put up taking time out from meeting and the amount of guys who still messaged wanting last minute meets |

I'm not talking about people who have not meeting as their status. I'm talking about the ones who say it after you spend twenty minutes messaging each other. I just think the right thing to do is say it immediately and offer to chat. Up to the person then. The objective is to meet someone for coffee or be it sex. I personally would not message anyone to chat. I can go to the pub for a chat. I hope I cleared that up |

Do you consider Online fun ? Possible without any meeting. Some people don't want to meet ? That's their own business, and if you feel like it's waiting time to talk to someone you'll probably never meet, maybe you should be the one off the site. No one has obligations to meet.

To me, a timewaster can be anything that doesn't lead to a goal, you can chat for ages and find yourself incompatible and this has not been a waste of time however someone outside predefined limits like age or status that messeges is the definition of a time waster, you have already decided against meeting this type of person for whatever reason and stated so on your profile but they decide to messege anyway because "you never know" or "no harm in asking" etc. THIS is a time waster.

Surely that would make them the opposite of a time waster? They've clearly and concisely outlined where they stand, if you still decided to message them then you're wasting your own time. Same goes for ignoring profile preferences, it's no different.
Everyone uses the site in whatever way suits them; there's no right or wrong way. There's no mandatory way to use it; you're not entitled to a meet just because you sign up nor do you have to meet.
All Fab is is a platform and if some people want to use it to keep in touch with friends, express themselves or just talk to like minded people then so be it.
Unless someone has agreed to meet and then not, without good reason, then they don't owe anyone anything or wasted their time. Let alone have to leave the site. |

I'd say someone who creates and deletes about 20 new profiles, constantly posts fake meets and blocks someone who asks them why, is a timewaster.
Oh and someone who then posts comments on their profile and creates a forum post, to deflect any negative attention and try and gain sympathy....rather than just reply to the message. |

I went on a meet once seemed like a nice guy couple of messages and then off to his place for a coffee , nice chat great kisser , things moved on to the bed room . I'd told him several times no condom no play before we met , and I text before I went to meet him and asked was there a particular type of condom he liked and I would pick them up . Sure enough when things got down to it "he didn't like condoms " "couldn't use them " "was clean" "last girl he met didn't mind " the excuses just kept coming , I declined and left . Wasted my whole day when I could have been meeting someone else . Total waste of my time . |

I've had to deal with a similiar scenario recently. It's extremely frustrating on two levels.... The time wasted organising the meet AND sexual frustration! |
