We had this debate at work the other week. Went on for an hour and I'm none the wiser
Mind you there was a Brit, Irish, Spanish & an Italian in it so we were never going to agreed
I always thought ye Irish considered summer solstice 21 june as mid summer though |

In Ireland, the summer months according to the national meteorological service, Met Éireann, are June, July and August. However, according to the Irish Calendar, summer begins on 1 May and ends on 1 August. |

I know that but heard on the radio years ago it's also considered to be the mid pont of summer by some so that would make summer may, June & july |

I know that but heard on the radio years ago it's also considered to be the mid pont of summer by someso that would make summer may, June & july"
I suppose it depends where you live in the northern hemisphere |
