The commentary is normally broadcast on fm radio. Take something to receive it on, and ear phones. The normal load speaker system is pretty useless.

Am also going in July.

I've been 3 times but not since 2012. They had a thing called kangaroo tv which was excellent for following what was happening. About £50 for the weekend. Bring lots of warm clothes, it's freezing!!

Kangaroo tv no longer exists.

Small radio is a good idea to keep track of proceedings on Radio Silverstone.

The official F1 app is good.

Spare battery pack for phone always handy.

I live about 4 miles from the track and have a two spare double and a spare single room. If any fabbers (couples or women) fancy staying over and getting friendly you would be most welcome.

I recon something will be sorted. Is all posturing to get better terms. Liberty Media have already said they want to keep the traditional legacy tracks.

Silverstone always gets a full house. Looks a lot better on tv than some of the tracks with part full grand stands.

But what can they do, they cant offer any more money or all the tracks will want more

Could renegotiate new deals for heritage circuits, such as Silverstone, spa, Monza and Japan, so they pay less to host the race.

Could give circuits a % of the Tv fee, based on the number people watching at the circuit, and Tv. The circuits like Silverstone , with full grand stands would then get a bigger cut of the revenue from TV. Just a couple of ideas.

lets hope they do some thing, if another venue is found they may not come back to Silverstone for quite a while.
