I have never suffered from depression. I always have a happy go lucky outlook. But Jesus this weekend I feel depressed as fuck. It's like a grey cloud over my head. Can't understand it. |

Be well dude. Meds not the answer ling term. Too many side effects. Talk is the key lad. Get it all out. Even the Shit that you don't even know is in there anymore. It has to come out...... |

Hey OP, I've been there...
Sometimes meds are the answer at the start, depends what the GP subscribes for you.
Combination of meds & counselling brought me out from under the dark cloud. Nothing beats talking everything out with a professional.
And never feel your alone with this, you'd be surprised how common that feeling is.
Gimme a shout if you'd like to talk further & good luck |

Did this feeling just start over the weekend, or has it been niggling for a while? Are you sleeping properly, is everything OK at work, is there a situation that is currently bothering you or that has been on your mind for a while? (These are questions for YOU, I don't expect or want you to answer them on a public forum)
Feeling sad can land, seemingly from out of nowhere, but in my own experience it's how long it lasts rather than what (if anything) has caused it, that distinguishes it from a period of low mood as opposed to actual depression. Sometimes life is just hard, but then it gets better. Sometimes it doesn't get better by itself. As others have said, go to your doctor. Take the advice given to you, and if the doctor suggests medication, try it. It works for a lot of people, including myself, and if one thing doesn't work, there are other things to try. Your doctor and you will make the decision together. I hope you feel better soon, there are much better, brighter days ahead x |
