I was surprised when mentioning eating veda and butter to my fab friend from Donegal that he had never heard of veda bread.
Well, is it just a Northern Ireland thing?
Is it only enjoyed by the few?
I enjoy my veda bread fresh not toasted, with butter and a mug of tea |

Pheww at least a few northern Irish know what I talking about. It a malt loaf, soft with a tougher crust. Most well known brands are Sunblest or Irwins. Worth a try |

"Like Soreen, Sticky bread?"
Veda is a malt loaf but doesn't have the fruit that Soreen has. Veda is of a soft consistency as opposed to sticky and not as sweet. Much nicer than Soreen in my opinion |
