It was in retaliation for chemical attack, and all chemicals were supposed to have been disposed of years ago by agreement!!
If there had been no chemical attack there would have been no bombing.
Is it right that chemicals weren't destroyed as agreed?? |

36 terrorists is a teeny tiny drop in the ocean sadly. A huge bomb was more of a statement then anything else. It's virtually become a gorilla warfare within every country. Nobody is safe and bombs will solve very little. |

MOAB or Massive Ordnance Air Blast (nicknamed Mother Of All Bombs) has over 11 tons of explosives ...... largest conventional bomb in America's arsenal. They have been dropping these on Afghanistan for years actually. |

After losing out on the Obamacare and having one of his top people resign..He needed to do something to get middle America back on his side... Pure chest thumping politics that wont change one thing.In fact I would hazard a guess that he has stirred up a hornets nest.Nothing gets the American public going like a bit of war ....And most of the munitions used by both side are American made anyway!!! |

Does anybody mentioned in local media that those tunnels was built by Americans itself? So basically they just destroyed their own baby! It was built long ago by Americans for their first isis training camps while they send them to fight Russia in Afghanistan at the time |

Seriously, why would a leader who puts a travel ban on several Muslim countries all of a sudden develop empathy and come to the aid of a country that is predominantly Muslim?  It just doesn't make any sense unless you delve back into history and look at the big picture..
Again, similar to that old chestnut of using "weapons of mass destruction" only this time it's "chemical weapons" History doesn't repeat but it always rhymes  |

Think that's pushing it a bit far. The Afghan resistance against the Soviet invasion in support of the Soviet protege in power in 1980 was indeed largely religiously inspired and since the enemy of my enemy is my friend the West was in there like a rat up a drainpipe to support these fellas. What was dramatically underestimated though was the influence of fundamentalist thinking and dedication to their convictions and from the likes of Wahhabi and Muslim Brotherhood and so forth thinking the likes of Al Qaeda and IS and all have been spawned. |

I asked is there a better way. Since the beginning of time with the possible exception of Hiroshima no conflict has ever been resolved by bombing the shit out of anyone...whichever side of the argument they represent.
The biggest casualty of any conflict is the truth closely followed by the mountains of dead dying and disabled...usually mainly non combatants.
The lack of empathy for the dead of whichever side says much about how we value life... or other people's lives.
Each person's death diminishes me deprives the world of someone unique and creates the seeds for the next crazed despot Poundland terrorist or murderous scumbag whatever their religious or political orientation.
Perhaps we all have much to learn about the value of the life of others...whoever they may be? |

There's always a better way...In recent history it would have been not invading Iraq, don't go meddling in the internal affairs of Libya, Syria, and Yemen for example. None of these places were paradise but they were a damn sight better for everyone in them before the US the and the UK decided to embark on a spree of regime change and then abandon ship halfway through and leaving a massive mess behind.
I beg to differ on your point of view on Hiroshima.
In recent history Clinton's initiative to buzz Belgrade with a few F-15's and dropping a token amount of bombs did what a couple of years of shite talking and yellow bellying by the EU and the UN would have never achieved. It effectively stopped the Balkan wars of the nineties. Also, you won't find too many disagreeing with the near complete destruction of Nazi German infrastructure and industry even if there was a high number of civilian casualties by the RAF and the US Army Air Force in the forties. Sometimes diplomacy on it's own works to resolve potential conflict situations, the history of the EU for example is the best ever example of conflict prevention, but more often diplomacy to be effective needs some form of physical force backing. |
