city.

How do people feel about meeting people that live relatively close to where they live themselves.

Would people prefer to travel to meet so as to minimise the chance of meeting someone you know?

Any thoughts on either?

Siren, xx.

Close is a relative thing. I've met people within a mile of me but a mile in Dublin is very different to a mile in Leitrim.

Since rural Ireland invariably means only two degrees of separation, best not to meet anyone living too close.

Yeah, who wants to be tripping over them every week in Aldi? Or worse, they pitch up as the newbie at your workplace

Definitely prefer to travel. Lot easier & minimises the risk of bumping into someone you might know.

If both parties understand each other's boundaries outside of the meet then it's a perfect scenario.

Yes, trouble is, there are far too many people here who have no idea what a boundary might be, or discretion either.

I see what you mean and get it. I'm very forward when explaining what is what and what a meet is myself but totally see your point. I have heard from some ladies of guys getting a bit clingy and vice versa don't get it myself
