Some people I know joined as a couple recently; they got a message from a well verified guy. First off he asked them would they like to attend a social he is organising and after only a couple of brief messages he offered to verify them without meeting them. It really pissed me off. Everyone here is trying to have fun but the verification system is like our only protection from nutters and e even at that its pretty risky. Needs to be fully respected I think? Any thoughts? |

Only a couple of nights ago I messaged a guy who had ( supposedly) rejoined fab after an absence . I was just saying hi and asking if we had been friends on here before because I have rejoined myself after coming out of a ( disastrous) relationship . He said , yeah you look familiar we must have met at a few parties along the way , just verify me there . I said , I think I'd remember if we'd actually met , so no way was I verifying him . Plus he wouldn't send a face pic , even though mine are there for him to see so he knows I'm genuine . I'd say a totally fake profile , lookin for a veto, ruins it here ! |

Unfortunately it does happen and there seems to be a well verified fabber out who is verifying without meeting. But it is rare enough and there's little you can do except reporting the person. |

"Never ever, ever, ever ever verify someone unless you actually meet someone... simple... " I never ever ever ever ever would ! Absolutely no way , because at the end of the day , you have absolutely no idea what that persons intentions are , they literally could be a rapist or a serial killer ! It's bad enough dealing with the fake profiles, without dealing with the fake profiles that have been verified !! |

That's how I see it too because there are definitely some potential nut jobs on here but the people who are well verified are a lot less of a risk. Would someone be banned for giving a fake Veri? |

Trust is a major issue on this site. The verification process is meant to act as some sort of indicator as to how trustworthy the verified person/couple is/are. But unfortunately, like so many things on this site, it is open to abuse because we are assuming that the verifier is also trustworthy. There is very little we can do under the present circumstances to change the system as it is based on the assumption of honesty |

I read a verification for meeting in person yesterday. In fact it was a I've been chatting to the fem on Kik for a while. She's gorgeous, hot and I can't wait to meet etc. I reported it but it's probably still there with all the other fake shite veri's on the site. The whole place needs a clean out

We were offered a veri from a well veried guy without meeting us, within a week of us joining.
Said thanks but no thanks.
Guy plagued us with messages etc. For a while, practically insisting on verifying us.
Blocked, reported the guy.
Not sure if hes still here but i remember checking in the weeks that followed, he was still active, still getting new veris etc.
Do fab act on this type of thing?
Hard to prove i suppose |
