Yes of course it's about wallpaper!
I've spent the last hour on it and only got through a section 1 x 2.5m square. I've already got the paper off - this is just the sticky pasty bit underneath! Now I'm all sticky and sweaty.
Any tips? |

"Washing up liquid, warm water and let it soak.Use a scraper and plenty of arm movement "
That's exactly my method at the moment. Soul-destroyingly boring. |

"Yeah get a wallpaper steamer it will be off in no time"
The paper is off, just the sticky paste left behind. I'm painting the wall so it needs off. Didn't think a steamer would do the paste too? |

Then a steamer is your only option. hire one or buy..theyre relatively cheap. |

Sugar soap diluted in a pump action water sprayer, soak wall and leave for 15mins, big sponge and clean water to rinse off, squeeze sponge out regular in water, clean cloth to wipe off any remaining residue...

And bin the scraper if all the paper is gone otherwise your next job will be filling and sanding |

Really hot water. Washing up liquid and loads of vinegar. Completely soak it. So for a cuppa tea. Go back 15 minutes later completely soak it again wait for 10 minutes then wet it again and scrap straight away. Trust me it will fly off |

Warm soapy water and lashings of it, leave to soak and then repeat, and to save on time, use a 12 inch fan scraper or a squeegee that you use for cleaning windows if you really don't want to damage the plaster. |
