I don't think there is a clear age definition . At your current age I would deem you rather a Milf. Cougar IMHO would be a lady up from mid 40 who is pullling lads 10 to 15 years younger |

"What's the male equivalent to this conundrum. not sure sugar daddy "
That's when the woman is prising more out of an older guy than sex...and for some it's not even sex they ate getting. It more a financial and gifting relationship.
Cougar is much more common than male equivalent. ...its more to do with the psych of both involved than anything else. As women get older they want to feel they still have it... few like feeling old so pulling younger helps. Younger guys likewise feel the same but in reverse...a macho thing for young guy to pull older ladies.
It's an interesting topic of human sexual behaviour to Google. |

Not necessarily true.
I don't seek out younger guys - they find me.
I'm more prey than huntress |

There was nothing personal in my comment.... My comment did suggest what you just stated...younger guys seeking older women.
So the question remains is a cougar actually defined as one who preys on weaker or can a cougar be preyed on herself? The word cougar suggests the first and it's origins seem to imply that it's the older woman being proactive in searching younger prey.
So in the true sense by your own admission you're not a cougar yet you predominantly meet much younger guys. |

I prefer older guys which makes me feel younger....that's about as much nonsense as the above....
Nothing more common than an older guy going for the young woman, says it as a sugar daddy ( the girls do often claim it's not sexual however we're not that naive), a younger girl friend, an affair, escort etc etcetera.

Not predominantly. I meet based on attraction to personality. The age is irrelevant |

Same here, I'm young at heart, active and adventurous and tend to attract younger. I don't look at age at all....for me it's a mental attraction primarily. |

My point was in relation to a 39 yr old guy messaging a 43 yr old woman telling her he is looking for a cougar.
As for 60 yr old woman bagging guys 20 yrs her junior...guys do it all the time, I would like to think its called the same thing. |
