"Trek all day everyday and can not wait for Discovery!
Order of preference TNG, DS9, TOS, Voyager and lastly Enterprise.
Best cameo was Iggy Pop in DS9 "
Yeah really looking forward to it too. |

Both are close to my heart.
Star Wars is way out in front though.
Fantastic childhood memories for me.
Had to endure Sinbad & the like previously. Feckin pet lizards with plasticine horns etc....
Then BANG, ZAP..... A star destroyer giving chase to princess Leia! It blew my wee mind.
Been a spacer ever since. |

Tough call....Star Trek first/original series was groundbreaking in its drama, challenging taboos etc (first interracial kiss on TV etc).
Later series list the plot when they befriended Klingons and went into negotiating with everyone rather than zapping them.....I think the phasers and photon torpedoes ran out of viagra and it all went a bit limp....Data was just a joke.
For film...gotta be Star Wars (as long as you ignore Jar Jar Binks et al). Big scope...big effects etc....though episode seven did basically have same script as 4. .... Young warrior strong with the force, escapes on a stolen ship (same one) with a kooky droid and seeks an old Jedi..... revelations about fatherhood thrown in too! |

Voyager was more out there in its Sci-fi concepts than the other series which was great. DS9 only got good when the Dominion came into it. Re-watch the first series of TNG and its as funny and amateur as TOS which is the best of them all
The Empire Strikes Back was the perfect movie, way ahead of The Wrath of Khan - discuss... lol |
