Have you tried a chiropractor?
Usually works well for me. |

"Difene and a heat patch, rest up for a few days and you should be grand."
This.
Walk/jog as much as you can too.
I suffered very badly with this for years and was almost crippled by it. Surgery fixed me up a treat though and I havent had a problem since.
My advice from many mistakes-
If it persists see a GP. If their treatment hasnt worked within 6 weeks, start asking for a consultant.
I tried everything else for years and for me it was all a waste of money. Physios all gave me conflicting diagnoses and exercises that did more harm than good (the one at the hospital was great though.).
Dont let people play guessing games with your spine. |

I got it at work and I thought that was it..it was so painful .I was sent home because I was gone to one side but the bosses sister was qualified at acupuncture so I was sent to her and after 3 days in a row of countless needles being put in I was back doing work in 3 days..Difene is good for a small twinge or light strain but if it's a back spasm acupuncture I'd recommend xx |

went to acupuncturist for back pain a few years ago. she told me there was nothing wrong with my back but the problem stemmed from tight hamstrings. so now when i get discomfort i do hamstring stretches and pain goes soon after. youtube for exercises |

Don't go to chiropractor! It isn't science based medicine and you'll do more harm than good. MRI first and theres a number of stretching excercises that you should do each day. If you have sciatica its a trapped or pinched nerve and is likely to be your disc.you can't 'click' it back into place. See a consultant and you may need surgery. Don't wait or be fobbed off |

"First find out what is wrong."
This , it's not one rule for all so what has worked for one may not work for others .
I've had the acupuncture , physio , chiropractor , strong meds and would always only get slight relief until the doctors made up their minds on what the problem was
So op off to the doc again and get some answers |

"Stretching...it works for me...and when you start feeling better start doing some exercise that will help strengthen your back
"
This is why you need to know if it's muscular or skeletal. Hubs has to do deep (really strange positions) stretches too for relief as his back cramps occasionally due to an accident years ago. Yoga can help. |

Get the book called treat your own back. Doctors and physio's will also recommend it. Follow the exercises and you will see a great difference. It's is written by doctor Robin McKenzie. I was heading for surgery a few years back, I couldn't even walk it was that bad. Doc recommended this book and I'm now pain free and regained all movement 100%. No surgery needed. Also drink loads of water and keep muscles hydrated. |

Pain in the back doesn't mean the back is the issue if that makes sense
Our body works off our nervous system and can be a break down somewhere
So can be upper body tightNess in shoulders or across the chest pulling the muscles wrong way
Or main factor is a glute issue/ankle problems so if your glutes aren't doing their job lower back can take all of the load or tighten up without you realising.
I wouldn't take meds or even see a GP honestly... meds short term and gp is basic medicine and they offer relief not try get to the issue.
Working with physio/chiropractor can be hard becausenough there is alot who just want your business and retain you as a client long term massages or loosen up the back
Just my opinion that's all
Physio who deals with issues and not just massages out the tightness and get to the bottom of the issue
People deal with 'Anatomy in Motion' are really good

Stretching and foam rolling
Foam rolling increase blood flow take out any unwanted notes and you will be more flexibility and a lot more limber if ur very bad noted it will be very sore but if u do this evern just 2-3 time a week you be like a new person!!!and stretch ur quad for example: quad=foam roll quad hamstring=foam roll hamstring triceps = foam roll tricks and so on.
When u foam roll when u find the sore spot stop on it for 20 seconds then roll of really slowly yes it sore but after a week it will easy off hope and use some soft balls for ur back chet and shoulders and neck now I hope this will help!.
