The original ones were digiboxes as far as I remember. Nicknamed dogibox because they rarely worked properly.

Aren't the government trying to bring in some new legislation that orders Internet service providers to cut off Internet of anyone using said dodgy boxes??

Yep, heard that myself.

All you really need is a laptop, Hdmi cable and mobdro, you can basically get anything you want then.

Plenty of other sites like putlocker to watch movies and TV series.

No need in spending money, if they are going to be done away with.

I have an android Mbox that came loaded with Mobdro that has pretty much all the sky channels plus more.

It cost €65. It does not need a dish or decoder but using the internet connection

I live in the boonies with slow internet but it's watchable. Not exactly HD but better than reading the results in the paper the next day.

Hey 24 I pay for an app called Sportsnationhd (about £40 a year) gets you everything (ALL prem football plus boxing etc) no buffering or anything like that - always full HD - worth checking out - just google it

I think your looking for an android box. It's used with a broadband connection. Yes it's worth it. You can watch any tv programs even ones not brocast in Ireland. You can streem all sorts of stuff and because your not downloading anything it's not technically illegal.

So get one go to YouTube and you will learn how to use it.

Do these boxes give you the option of recording the programme also?i find the SKY box only useful because you can record stuff..i dont watch that much live tv as such, usually stuff i want to watch gets recorded...in not talking box set stuff either...standard programmes that would be on tv in general.
