So today is that that I finally do it !
I've given up smoking , I've tired before but I'm feeling very excited about this time around !
Any other fabbers giving up today maybe we can start a fab support group  |

Caffeine is a bitch to give up. I did it four years ago. I had a thumping headache for about ten days. Decaffeinated tea tastes like nothing so I found it very unsatisfying and I also discovered that some decaffeinated teas have more caffeine in them that some regular teas. I switched then to Rooibos from South Africa and problem solved. Lidl do a tea called Redbush which is the same thing. |

I quit about 18 months ago. Tough going. Serious will power needed but we'll worth it.
Drink cold water when you get a craving....it helps a lot. |

Well done op im off them 5 years and i dont miss them at all i couldnt afford to smoke now anyway with the cost of them if you put by what you save now on buying ciggies you would have a nice wee holiday for yourself |

One day at a time. Best of luck. We're off them since 1st January and feel so much better for it. I'm currently doing a "couch to 5k" which I couldn't have managed a few months ago. Keep strong  |

Well done so far, I found the first 3 weeks a killer craving wise. Also found when I was out drinking really hard. Almost became a social recluse for a while. Try and reward yourselves with something you want weekly if you get through the week

Positive thinking and good support can get you through anything. "

Not too sure about the bacon sandwich but the good fuck gives me a craving that can only be put out by another good fuck. Lol |

Chewing gum helps if the cravings are getting on top of you, also drink a can of or whatever fizzy drink you like around 3 in the afternoon for the first few days, the sugar helps at the part of the day when your at your lowest,
You might want to change your profile to non smoker while you're at it |

Mind over matter, just be strong. When the cravings come, go and do something different to distract you.
I always thought I needed them... but honestly they had control of me and it was getting ridiculous.
One day i felt strong enough and gave them up 2mths ago.
