Plan B?

Jump to: Newest in thread

Hey all, twice in my short FAB life i've had meets postponed at last minute after planning the day around this. I know, says maybe more about me than them lol but that's another thread altogether (the one where i'm crying into a tub of icecream )

So... the question is, do people on here line up Plan B options in case Plan A fails? Maybe I was plan B or C today and plan A showed up? ha

I'm not sure i would have the heart to have some arrange their day around a meet knowing that it was likely to be cancelled but wondering if this was all the rage on here....

*Goes back to continue eating icecream in the corner with tears flowing into the spoon*

Not with someone else but we always have a back up plan whether it may be a bar we haven't tried, a film or something.

Fair enough Candy Store..

In fairness with couples, the plan B option is always each other anyway

When I first joined as a single, got stood up on my first meet but another fabber came to my rescue and it was fantastic but didn't view it as plan B nor would I do it. Think its a tad insulting to be honest. If I knew I was a plan b I would be telling them I would see them next Tuesday

I would never have a back up meet planned as I wouldn't like to think I was only someone's plan B, if they're let down. If I'm let down or a meet is canceled I'll go out or have drinks with friend's so it's not a complete waste of the night, you never know who you'll meet instead

If you make a plan b or c then someones gonna get stood up unless youre going to tell your backup thats what they are. Dont think many people would be too enthusiastic about that though.

"Hi, as long as my first 2 choices dont turn up I can meet you at 8..."

This happened to us recently, guy had to cancel last minute, sometimes it can't be helped, me and hal went for dinner and drinks and had a lovely night in town regardless.

If I had been meeting him alone though I'd have been pissed off.

There is no reason to have a plan B because it distracts from plan A

I've been let down before, but I've never had a plan B. I'd hate to think I was anyone's Plan B also.

I just sit in and bash the shit out of a voodoo doll instead

My only plan B is you Bold. Plan Bold....one day I will be in a pub in Galway waiting for you to join me to watch the rugby and a few pints of stout. We'd have a great time

It can be hard enough to arrange 1 meet, wouldnt insult anyone to have them as a back up plan.

If you were to be found out for doing so, it could all go horribly wrong...

You need to leave at least an hour between meets...preferably not fished from the same pool.

otherside of nowhere

Wouldn't dream of it...if we plan a meet its because we want to met that person or cpl...not because we just want a met

Hi all, thanks for the the responses and feedback in my hour of need. It was a dark day for me, one that pushed me over the edge and into the very back of the freezer. Every shovel of that chocolate fudge brownie felt like a slap in the face as i gorged my way through the pain..

In that lonely hour, when, it felt like the world was against me, a knight in shining armor (although a female version without the horse or armor) stepped in and took one for the fab team by agreeing to meet me as they had seen how this icecream addiction can get out of hand very quickly.

I pulled myself out of the dark corner, wiped the chocolate mess from my face and underwear....then changed the said underwear and put on some outside world clothes and met and had the most wonderful hour or so chatting to the fabbest of all fab people. They made me sign a NDA so i can't mention their name

It amazing time that was so perfect.. everything was perfect, EVERYTHING...

apart from the coffee... it tasted like piss, or what people look like on bear grylls when drinking piss anyway. There was a smell of fish in the establishment. I didn't see fish but when we left i did a sniff test and it was deffo not the fab person. When hugging i sniffed and totally fish free. FISH FREE people!!

But everything else was just perfect...

well apart from the lighting.. what was with that? Candles were a nice tough but it was so freaking dark. What was that all about...

Anyhow... Thanks so so much!

The lid is back on the tub and firmly staying on
