And let's not forget the economical benefits. Serious revenue to be made from full legalization.

I would have loved this 20 years ago as I was a regular cannabis smoker in my late teens to late 20s. Haven't smoked it in over 5 years but I am 100% in favour of full legalization.

As pointed out, the pros far out way any cons.

The country could only benefit from full legalization.

BTW, I know it's currently only for medical purposes but my doctor back then was sound

It is a great move for the country . The health benefits are unquestionable . Hopefully it is dealt with in the right way and those who genuinely need it will get it x

Great news for suffers. From what I've read the law won't change though. I don't see any possibility of US style dispensers here, this is still little old Ireland. As Mr. Mackey says 'drugs are bad M'kay'

Enniscorthy

Used to smoke it in my early 20's, but haven't touched it since then. It has well proven studies that it does help many medical issues, reason it is still widely banned is because the pharmaceutical companies would lose a shit load of money. Have seen many case studies that it even goes as far as helping cure some cases of cancer. Plenty of other plants out there that are beneficial and that are also being kept from us...

When you see the gang warehouses full of it on the news it's a no brainer to rob their income and make some money for the people by adopting the colorado model

A long way off that yet but it's a step in the right direction

Don't envision much change. If it's medicinal does it make it as worrying for you as it does for me that people have been self medicating with cannibas (rather than it being recreational)? Perhaps it will hinder people's coping skills more. Meds aren't always the answer to stress and life's ails.

I really don't see them ever decriminalising it fully. I see this more as an opportunity for the pharmaceutical industry to create new products. The idea of an FG lead govt permitting recreational use is beyond belief.

It would be good to see the uk and ireland go the way of Portugal which means u cannot be prosecuted for personal use of any substance!
