I've read Filth and Glue, some of the characters in Glue make appearances in Porno, the squeal to Trainspotting, but I want to read Shagboys. The prequel to Trainspotting, it follows Renton and Sickboy their first descent into heroin addiction |

We went to see it last night. I've read most of the books before but as always with movies I never expected this to live up to the written standards even if if is only loosely based on it.
It's a dam good movie, drags you in to make you love a hate all except spud. Not to give away the plot line but I was really impressed with how it was directed. As for being a little Hollywood, have to disagree. No new big name actors or special effects. As dark and dank as you would hope for. Well worth a watch |

Saw it yesterday. I enjoyed it but it just felt like a tribute to the first one. Too many needless reflections back to the original for me. It was almost like every 20 minutes the movie was saying, "Do you remember this?"
Saying that, aesthetically it was great: shot well and great writing as you'd expect but I'll probably never intentionally watch it again.
