Sometimes the problem can be with the size of the condoms.
Regular condoms are too small for some guys. I had a problem with them being too small a few years back but bigger condoms are more readily available nowadays.
It can also be a psychological problem. |

I think once a man has failed to maintain an erection the fear is there, that it will happen again.So a vicious circle occurs where worrying about it will almost make sure it will happen again. Some men can feel humiliated by asking for extra stimulation from a partner so communication is vital because the problem can easily be rectified.

It's a topic that I wanted to address for a long time but always held back because I couldn't find the right angle to approach it without exploding into a massive rant, but I guess after having run a well behaved thread without influencing others with my opinion it's okay now to finish off the thread.
While I've understanding when the nerves get into the way, BUT I've absolutely no understanding when consequently the problem solving approach is chancing a bareback! It deflates me immediately and game over. It also leaves me furious and frustrated. It's absolutely appalling behaviour and should it ever happen to me again, God have mercy on the guy. Before our first meet I had condom fear. It wasn't a fear of the condom itself or a fear of putting it on. It was a fear of the condom slipping off during sex. It was a real and genuine anxiety.
As a couple we never really used condoms. We did a few times and once I did lose the condom. But we were monogamous so it was ok.

I take it when everyone in this thread talks about "no bareback" regarding condoms that theyre also talking about "oral" also?
see a lot of people doing safe sex for penetration... but when it comes to doing oral they dont ?
most major std's can be caught through oral but don't see many jumping up and down trailing their hair out regarding "unsafe" oralsex.....
surely unsafe oral sex is just as unsafe as penetrative sex ? surely ???

safe sex is all about risk reduction. Oral isn't as dangerous. The mouth is designed to deal with strange bacteria, fungus and even viral infections. The penis and vagina are not as well protected.
There are flavoured oral barriers too. Obviously condoms for men, and for women it's very like a sheet of cling film. You get the friction and feeling but not as much of the heat and taste obviously.
In a group play you should use a different condom with each different person. No good you being safe and transmitting infection from woman to woman. Same goes for toys |
