Sinn Fein is a cult. What else do you call an organisation which compels their membership who hold seats to hand over a percentage of their earnings to the party?
They claim their TD's live on an average industrial wage. What they don't tell you is that the remainder is given to the party coffers. |

To be honest don't trust any politicians so have to base my voting preference on something. I would certainly give Michelle O'Neill one. In mayo there is Lisa chambers who would get my vote as well based on looks alone  |

Still not seeing how its supposed to entice a better quality of candidate. Surely this better quality of candidate can still run as it is now and if they are successful, find a way of putting up with the burden of the big salary, can they not? |

Imagine the terror of being a child abuse victim of an IRA member where reporting such a crime meant you would be branded a "Tout", taken out in the middle of the night, shot and buried in a bog somewhere, or told it would happen to your parents.
That's exactly how these poor child victims were scared into silence. |

I'm not a fan of any party. That not withstanding, I don't ever remember reading or hearing a victim of child abuse talk about how FF/FG or any other political party other than SF threaten them with becoming one of the disappeared.

I'll speak for the woman personally. I know her and I'm one of her constituents. She helped me and my ex greatly. My ex was at uni when we had our first child. We done everything above board declared we were living together etc etc. Upon making an application for uni funding it was rejected by a local education board once. We then reapplied it was partially rejected again (the eduction board give a different assement than first one). The argument centred around was my outgoings I.e mortgage, car insurance and bills a valid out going. The education board argued it was not. I contacted Michelle and we worked in this topic together. In the end we got the funding (rightfully) and my ex went to uni and successfully completed her degree. So yes she gets my vote and she gets me also lol |

Since I am not biased with Irish history of any coleur , @ OP the new SF leader is sexy indeed. I am rather worried that her sensual full lips will convert into a stripe of bitterness as it does to most people who play the nasty game of politics for their daily bread - we will see a rose decaying fast
My electoral rights are limited to the Republic, deemed she would run for a seat in Dublin it would very much depending on what she and her party has to offer. To date SF has some valid points I support but also many items in their agenda which are not really appealing to me....just saying |

Seems that two tribes is still what determines some people's politics.... and yes you have the right to choose your version of history but so do those who don't share your views.
Me im just a guy who despairs of seeing politicians of all flavours running for the tribal flag every election then forgetting the homeless jobless dispossessed disabled sick elderly or using religion as a club to beat minorities because of their gender or orientation ..
Be nice if the political "elite" and their acolytes actually delivered solutions not tribal slogans...
Fk a political... isnt their role to fk everyone else?
