Most people on here like to keep themselves private and discrete. But for many guys most woman say no cock pics. So for a guy without sticking their big dish in the cam for all to see what do we show? I know yous woman like the odd torso but come on at the end of the day how do us guys be discrete and ahow ourselves off at the same time. For one day only iv put my big dish as my profile pic for yous all to see :p |

For one day only, maybe, but what's to stop someone saving your face pic and using it elsewhere? Maybe it doesn't bother you, in which case, fair play, but I'd be keeping mine for private until I decide who sees it.

"Most people see a face pic on public not discreet you could always have one in your private album and send it when you want "
How does it make them not discreet?
U.K. fabbers show their faces much more than we do, does that make them less discreet than us?
I really don't understand why people think this, but it's interesting that so many do. |

"Personally we think that someone who shows their face on public does not know the meaning of discretion Ireland is a much smaller country than the UK "
I really don't understand this logic. It's their face they're showing, not yours. |

I would presume people would think if they value the privacy of their own face pictures that someone who would put one of themselves up might not consider privacy as much. |

I think people are more talking about cause and effect in a smaller community. The Irish fab community is much smaller given the fact Ireland's population is much smaller. Let's say for example someone decides to bully another member of fab here which unfortunately has been known to happen. In theory they could find out a lot more about them than you could in the UK and even get face pic through third party. If this third party has their own pic up too why would they consider someone else's as not to be shown. So a lot decide not to trust people with face pics up in Ireland. |

Not sure I understand fully. They're talking about discretion. How does another fabber having a public face pic effect my privacy? That's what I'm getting at. Why would I want to avoid them because they have a face pic public? Is it because if they have a public face pic they might share my private pics with others? Sure this also applies to U.K. users too then. |

We have face pics only in private mode, aside from being newbies, Ireland is too small and community based - be it at the school gate or whatever. Wouldn't want casual/ non-involved people knowing. Not sure the same community vibe exists in the UK, which is probably the only broadly prudish comparison. |

It goes with the assumption that one who has a public face pic seems to be less concerned about his/her own privacy or being publicly exposed and therefore might handle other people's privacy with less discretion or doesn't have the understanding for the need of discretion. |

OK so they'd be more likely to share your pics with others? Does it apply to UK users or just Irish?
It could also be possible that they don't have many family or friends so they have nothing to lose with having public face pics. Or maybe they love swinging and don't care who knows. Doesn't mean they'd be indiscreet with other people's pics/information. Plenty of people here with no face pics who have big mouths. |

So we can safely assume that the wankers who set up fake profiles with other users' face pics, themselves had public face pics at some stage too
Sorry but I'm not buying this public face pic = indiscreet. Too simplistic. |

I really don't understand this logic. It's their face they're showing, not yours.
I would presume people would think if they value the privacy of their own face pictures that someone who would put one of themselves up might not consider privacy as much.
And the fact that users in the U.K. show face pics more than us? They value privacy less than us so by that reasoning?
If you driving along the edge of a cliff you don't check the drop in case you fall you keep well in as it keeps you safe.
So we can safely assume that the wankers who set up fake profiles with other users' face pics, themselves had public face pics at some stage too
Sorry but I'm not buying this public face pic = indiscreet. Too simplistic.
Would somebody go all the bother of setting up profile with someone else's face pic. That's terrible.
You're on the site more than three years and you've never heard of that happening?!
I'm actually shocked by it. It's disgraceful behaviour. Why would someone do that.
I'm shocked that you didn't know
Seriously though, probably either jealousy or they got turned down. Who knows why nut jobs do what they do.
It takes all types to run the world I suppose. Bullies never prosper. Their nature is never to give in til it's too late and everyone sees them for what they are. "
True! Or they make digs and run for the hills. Like you say, it takes all sorts.
It was a pleasure having a mature debate with you |

The comparison of Ireland and the UK is illogical as they have a completely different set of dynamics as nation's and population also dictates the odds as lower on crossing paths or finding out identity. That said swingers get outed more frequently in the tabloids in England. I think the freedom of posting your face pic would be great but in reality I do agree that a person that has a public face pic here has less to loose and while they may be absolutely discreet, I personally would be less inclined to make contact on the basis that there is extra safety in anonymity.
I would love a non judgmental society where everyone could be open but we don't have it on or off fab sadly. Also if people don't have a problem posting their face pic or see any logical reason not too...Then off with them, that's their choice. |

I made the comparison between the Irish and the UK because it was implied that Irish people who put up public pics are indiscreet. I wondered if the UK people who put them up were indiscreet too ie would you be afraid they'd share your private information etc like was suggested for Irish users. |

Whatever you're comfortable with, for me a clear face picture as a profile pic when at home is a definite no (gossip is king in small towns) lol but if I am working away I would use a face pic |

There have been a lot of assumptions and theoretical scenarios described but there is foundation in what is being said to a degree because past behavior has dictated this. It has happened, that said people with no public face pics have also outed others due to whatever petty reasons. Discretion is paramount on a swinging site as some people's lives could be destroyed by being outed. I am not on about people being embarrassed by Joe and Mary down the road discovering that you are a swinger! I am talking about the different levels of discretion that different people need for example...John joins site, he is single, 29 year old whose parents don't use multimedia and he works in a job that doesn't carry a moral responsibility as in he isn't a secondary school teacher or judge where risk of being fired could be attached. He has boasted to his pals about being on the site and pops up a public pic.
Then you have Pat, married man here with out the wife's knowledge, no public pic.
Then you have Dave and Amy mid thirties, two kids, on the parents association, one is a doctor the other a counsellor no public pic
Which of the three scenario's there would you trust the least with intimate details and photos of you. Yes the first guy could be the most discreet of the lot b8t would you take 5he risk of it, if being outed meant life as you know it could be ruined! At the end of the day we are all here trusting strangers on the internet so affording them the benefit of the doubt doesn't feature very highly as it would in normality. |

Nothing stopping the other two showing pics to other fabbers though, I guess it depends on what you view as discreet.
