Food is the biggest challenge when coming to lose fat, can you get some advice from a trainer in gym, cut out the crap processed foods, fuzzy drinks, alcohol etc and you will see a difference, check out Pat Divilliy 21 day book it will help with food plans etc |

Counting calories works for me. Being strict about what you eat and at the beginning weighting out your potions and measure everything.
If you have a smart phone there are some good apps that allow you to scan barcodes which logs your intake really easy.
You can have a burger king if you want it but if it's all of your calories that's all your having |

Grilled chicken breast
Broccoli
Brown Pasta
Repeat
Serious though, when I want to see results I eat this prob every day on top of a balanced diet and exercise!
Plenty of water and invest in a Spice Rack |

That actually sounds quite nice - specially with the spices for the chicken |

I had 2 fresh beetroots some brocolli and 2 small salmon darns tonight and it fills you up without loads of cals.
Eat less and move around more and the weight will drop.
Its all about healthy fresh non processed food. And watch the fizzy drinks. Stick to the water with a little lemon or lime or mint in it.
And good luck with it. Small steps and not drastic action will be more successful in the long run. |

It is, get creative with those spices - I often use an oven bake bag, chicken breast in for 30 mins with some spices/veg - laziest way to cook but very yummy and healthy! |

There's a saying, "A six-back is made in the kitchen".
Now, I am far from having a six pack but have recently changed my diet one step at a time. If you eat a lot of bad foods, like me, then take a week or two to gradually cut them down. You don't want to cut it all out straight away because you will more than likely binge after a few days as the cravings get too much.
I've put on quite a bit of weight over the last few months but as I said, I gradually changed my diet to where I pretty much eat all good foods every day, with the odd bar of chocolate or bag of crisps, but give myself a cheat meal of anything I fancy once a week.
By doing this, in the last three weeks I've dropped half a stone and feel much better, mentally and physically.
Exercise is important too. You need to get that heart pumping.
Good luck on your journey. |

Do a bit of running in the gym....
If your not fit... run for 2 minutes to get your heart going.. then walk 1 minute to bring your heart rate down... or use the cross trainer.. don't use a exercise bike.. on a bike you don't move your upper body... the motion between cross trainer and running helps to lose fat faster..
Do some weights also..
And most important of all enjoy it.. |

Get fit in the gym, lose weight in the kitchen.
If you want to drop weight Ill echo what others have said and say its all about the food. You can work some of it off but the real difference is going to come from diet.
Good luck. |

You loose fat from what you eat or don't eat,
You get fit, tone and build muscle at the gym.
You burn a few extra calories at the gym but surprisingly little compared to just normal activity.
Whatever you do, do not jump straight into jogging as it is hard on your joints. A good brisk walk (walk the dog) is as good as jogging from an average persons fitness requirements without the shock to the joints.
Yoga believe it or not can be as good as a gym workout but again has to be done properly and if you have a back problem some of it can aggravate it.
But shagging is exercise that everyone can benefit from, woo hoo |

--------------------------
1. If possible, get yourself a training partner. Chances are you'll show up if someone's waiting for you. You'll also push yourself that little bit more too
2. Find something you might enjoy like box fit or circuits.
3. Be patient. Sometimes no big difference for first few weeks then body fat suddenly drops off.
Best of luck with it mate |

Nothing fancy or anything special mentioned above...
All training work once you are in a calorie deficit
Basic big training is best
Squat/Hinge/Pull/Press movements
Bench press, squats, chins ups and push ups.. you can't go wrong
Food - calorie maintenance amount of food you can eat without losing or gaining weight then reduce 200/300 aka you are in deficit turns into fat loss.
Protein - 2g Per Kg bodyweight
Fats - 30-40% or 1-1.5go per Kg bw
Carbs - depending on goals and activity levels..if work at a desk all day and no sports while carrying a lot of weight then should be small enough give you energy. Increase then if needed
80g -250g can how varied it should be....
IF Less carbs then have more fats in your diet not just eliminating carbs
Carbs if used Base them around your training times before and after. So body utilises them and not just sit there
Hope this helps |

Sorry, I should have specified that carbs are good post workout as your body uses them to repair muscles, that's why I mentioned the right carbs at the right time. But yeah if you're not going to do heavy workouts then carbs won't do you any favours.
Anyway,I won't dispute with you, your profile pic shows you know what your talking about |

The food stuff is key and plenty of good advice above...
For your gym time include a healthy amount of tabata with whatever cardio machine you prefer (bike / step / row / run).. 10 minutes of 15 second sprints, 45 seconds jog (switching to 20-40 when you improve). If your gym does a Les Mills spin class they are particularly good for this.
No late eating too. 7pm shut off time for food. |

Balance the protein against the calorie intake...Look for foods that are higher in protein.
Figure out a dressing that is low fat that you like to add flavour.
I know it is constantly repeated but fill up on the veg, drink plenty of water, swap for the brown options as in pasta, bread etc..., Grill don't fry, and a little excersize but the most important thing I did was to avoid the word diet and weight lose...The minute you feel you are denying yourself is where it gets hard to do... I opted for lifestyle changes which are 'mostly' still in place. Group settings are good for encouragement like gym, weight loss programs, dance classes etc but a dog will never tell you they are too busy to go walking today plus they will always be your friend regardless of what the scales says. Best of luck with it...Ohhh and plenty of sex

If you train regularly and consume a clean diet. The weight will drop off. It obviously doesn't happen over night but if you keep it going you will see results. |

No water and lime doesn't lose fat
Yes you can eat after 7pm
Yes you eat white rice and white pasta
No breakfast isn't the most important meal of the day
Yes you can skip breakfast
No certain hiit, runs, or spinning classes are specially better than lifting weight at losing weight.
They all work but just depends what's sustainable to you and only if you in a calorie deficit. |

It really depends on your body fat percentage. A man should aim for 15-17% a woman around 22-25%
Forget about weight and concentrate on reducing body fat and improve your muscle definition. |

Been trying to do the same lately myself its not an easy process thats for sure.
If you switch your cardio training to HIIT it really helps. Some great tutorials on youtube which will give you ideas of what to do for this.
I have also been finding the app myfitnesspal useful too. By inputting your food into the app you can see what your consuming so over time you can make the changes you need whether its reducing carbs or fats ect.
Just advise ive been giving from mates recently that seems to be helping. Hope it is of some use to you |

Diet, diet, diet. It's more important than exercise.
And when it comes to exercise remember if your heart is t beating fast you ain't shedding weight.
Weightlifting is good to tone but you won't loose the pounds with good results.
Also keep well hydrated.
I swear by water with cucumber and lemon left in it for a couple hours.
Work hard till it becomes addictive. |
