I'm stealing this from the UK forum. Some cool stories in there.
Basically tell us a story, or more if you have them, about you and a famous person. Could be you went to school with one, could be you were in the same room as one. Whatever you want.
I'll go first:
Pat Smear, guitarist with Nirvana and Foo Fighters, is the reason why I drink Heineken.
I was at the Reading festival in 1998 and had back stage access. I was queuing at the beer stall where the person in front of me had just bought the last of the cans of Carlsberg so I had to make do with Heineken. The guy in front of me was Pat Smear and now I have an 18 year strong relationship with Heineken. |

A good few years back I was in a bar in Florida which had a Duelling Pianos show, audience members invited to get up to sing.
So I got up to sing and Wee Man from Jackass was in the audience and got up to sing with me! Complete legend!!

I met the actor Gérard depardieu walking down the street one day he was visiting where i live while on holiday he was wearing a hat and dark glasses and was getting some looks from people passing it's a little difficult not to notice his famous nose lol.
He asked me if I'd walk with him to the end of the street where his car was waiting for him so i did, he was very nice and charming to chat with I got a kiss on the cheek and he thanked me before driving away. |

By association really. I lived in a small town and he was in a town about 15mins away.
We went to the same college (secondary) school, bit he was a couple of years ahead.
Am good friends with his brother who was in my class, whenever I'm home I catch up with him.
The man is Joe Schmidt, Ireland's rugby coach. |

Huey from Fun Lovin' Criminals was at the first proper gig I played, which was at Voodoo Lounge in Dublin. I think he owned a share in the venue or something like that. We had a chat with him afterwards. However, he was more interested in the gear we were using then our songs |

School trip to Dublin many moons ago. I'm in HMV looking through the new releases. Elvis Costello's new album "Spike" was just out and as I picked up the CD from the display to take it to the till, I heard a voice saying to me "I wouldn't bother with that...I hear it's not great." Turned around.....and it was Elvis Costello who was also looking at the new releases. Cool dude! |

I was bouncing in a N.Y. nightclub when "Topanga" from the show Boy Meets World showed up. Some very d*unk men started circling her and the boss asked me to keep an eye on her. As I stood next to get she started grinding against me playfully and eventually grabbed my hand and danced with my arm for a few songs (only my arm as I stood perfectly still keeping an eye on the undesirables) |

I met Mick Flatley and is actually not arrogant at all, but a sound guy. Gave me some great encouraging words too, so I keep a signed framed pic of him over my fridge
I also used to be on the same athletics team as Noreen from Big Brother 10. Tabloids slated her as a total bitch, which she is not. Saw and chatted to her recently and you couldn't meet a lovelier, nicer girl

I used to babysit for Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
The girl I lived with in NY was their nanny. If she had something on, I used to do it.
They were lovely. |

Must be the dehydration but I initially read that as you used to actually mind both of them. Such confusion
Had to read it again |
