I'm considering hosting a party, and looking for a suitable house/mansion. Has anyone experience in renting from air bnb...would this be a big no no, or ??

I would think most property owners renting out through Airbnb would be far from impressed if their house was used for a party .

It would of course depend what the terms of the let were.
