Temple Bar is to Ireland what Disney World is to the Tooth Fairy.
Walk three streets in any other direction and you will get pints for €3.
Granted, you wont get the yanks in their check trousers, or the Czech girls handing out invitations to Lap Dancing Clubs (all part of the proper Irish experience) |

I'm suprised you got a pint for 5, I thought it was more expensive than that... not a big fan on city centre anyway, why pay more for a bunch of hen and stag parties! Like Jimmy says cheaper a few blocks away, however, I never got a pint in town for that cheap, unless we're talking fibber magees :D |

but if you along the liffey a few nice inexpensive pubs there,,one i remember is the hapenny,,dont know if its still there doh,,and cross the liffey a few nice pubs and cheap aswell |

If you avoid the theme park that is temple bar and by avoid I mean walk for two minutes there are lots of pubs that charge less than four euro for a pint 370 is typical . Ya ok for a 3 euro pint you might have to risk more body odour and tattoos than you care to bit hey you avoid the green check trousers too . Should I offer to lead a swingers pub crawl of decent Dublin pints ? |
