David Bowie - star man

Victoria wood - the dinner lady

Prince - purple rain

Caroline aherne - Da..ad

Paul Daniels - not alot

Gene _ilder - pure imagination

Alan Rickman - bring a friend

Ronnie Corbett - 4 càndles

Maurice White - Boogie wonderland

R2D2 - beep?

Andrew Sachs - que?

Leonard Cohen - halleluja

Johnny Murphy - black and Im proud

Frank Kelly - feic, girls, drink

Muhammad Ali - float like a...

To name just 16 from 16

The sooner 2017 rolls in the better

Wow Yosser! ye dont think about it until ye see it listed like that. How very sad!

Goes to show that life is precious and they will be missed.

Thoughts go to fabbers who have lost loved ones this year too. Remember that your loved one is in heaven and that a piece of heaven is always in your heart xxx

The era of tv and mass celebrity started in the 1950s and 60s, simple logic suggests that people who were in their 20s and 30s back then are reaching average life expectancy in the current decade, so this trend can be expected to continue.

My town

This year in my family has not been too bad, lots of changes and milestones reached.I'm just grateful that things always turn around in the end..... always think of my mum anyway Christmas is no different...

Great post btw I have to admit as much as I loved Bowie, respected Cohen....Prince really upset me and I haven't reacted to a celebrity passing since Lennon and Mercury but did shed a tear for Prince. I was more shocked with Bowie's passing

the big brother fiasco when Tiffany thought David gest had died was comedy gold . Not so funny when poor David himself passed away months after.
