Am I the only person who writes xmas cards every year?
Still in touch with old coll friends - is it a bit sad or nice?
Anybody else doing it this year? |

I send Xmas cards to my family even though i spend most of xmas and new year with them.I post cards abroad too, to friends in the USA and Austrailia. It was a chore to do a few years ago but now I look upon it as a nice gesture and worth the effort. I get them in return too and have a card holder on the wall. Call me old fashioned but i love it |

"I do try and text people but it's hard to get time to meet up.
Should I stop - do you think it annoys people when I don't see them often?!"
A wise old man once said to me "if you really want to do something, nothing will stop you, if you don't want to do it, it won't take you long to find an excuse".
I have no idea how your friends feel about it, maybe you should ask next time you see them |

"It's traditional which can be nice and sexy
I used to spray aftershave in cards I sent to girls I fancied
Sad or what!!"
No... that's lovely... in the olden days when people used to write letters guy sprayed his aftershave on the letters he wrote me.... thought it was sweet ... |

"Ah a card holder is a good idea - it's more personal to sit down and write than just do it via Facebook isn't it? "
Course it is and although you might miss friends who live far away and stay in touch with throughout the year, its a personal touch. Theres some things that shouldnt be forgotten about, and thats to let those know that you might not see them at xmas, but youre thinking about them no matter where they are. |

I absolutely love receiving and sending cards at Christmas. I feel like it's the one original thoughtful thing that someone takes the time and effort to do....
