They seem to.
Well some do and some dont.
There has been several posts before about them and i have had a good few admire mine but i get treated totally different when i am in the snickers or in the suit.
People tend to look down on me more when i'm in the snickers. |

When I was in the trade I used to have ones for work which obviously got dirty and oily. I then had several pairs for changing into after a shower! These were never worn for work purposes! Only for heading to the pub on weeknights or chilling at home!! Loved them and still do. Comfiest trousers ever!!! |

"Hmm I think the best would be to put up a you-in-your-snickers-pic and then the fab women can tell you if they like what they see. "
I concur..... a side by side with a suit pic would be even better |

"Is it just the Snickers (which sounds like knickers boys) that cut the mustard or the work trouser in general?
What about Dickies, CAT etc?"
Pure bred snickers wearer. Anything alse is a watered down version of them. I spend 50% of my working day in them. Comfy as hell. |

Why are they so expensive in Ireland?
Mr says Dickies are far superior to the Swedish newcomers... |

They'll claim it's R&D and materials but it's the brand. Your paying for the name really. Expense wise I don't worry. All I wear and use is supplied. |

I'm not going to get into the brand war lol but likewise in the lab/plant I work in ours are supplied and no one chooses snickers anymore. The fit is often poor and even though we don't have to pay, I still wouldn't pick ridiculously overpriced gear just because I can.
On the other point it's standard practice to be looked down upon if a tradesman in snickers is standing beside an engineer in a suit. It's the perception of higher earning capacity and greater intelligence which is also an attractive attribute for some even if it shouldn't be. |

Not always... one could also be looking at how this chap would fit into one's own world. I may tend to prefer a man suited than scruffy. |

An item of clothing does not make a man scruffy. I work in clean rooms and labs as a tech. My tools and equipment are far cleaner than the grubby keyboards and fake leather briefcases of most men in suits, again it's all about perception which in some cases is misguided |

Oh OK. But it can. Ripped jeans for example. Let me replace scruffy with casual. |

I have to agree with the snickers verses suits arguement. As I said, I wear snickers 50% of the time. The other 50% I'm white hard hat and clip board guy. I love the administrative side of my business but could never ever give up on tools. It's funny when I attend a site as a rough neck and see how people look on at me and then days later arrive suited and booted. The reactions can be funny. |

Nothing like a morning perve in Centra at the boys in their snickers getting their breakfast rolls. I have a personal preference for grey ones...can't say why.
