Do lies work here?

Hi all. I've been reading a few forums today and a lot seem to boil down to one theme. "Lies". So it made me wonder if they actually work for people here.
I don't see the point myself. Because the second you get caught out on one lie everything else you say is put into doubt.

Lies don't work well anywhere....
On fab or everyday life..
However on fab when you catch somebody lying your accused of stirring shit or jealousy...
Lots know people lie they don't care, those of us that do are called cunts..

I've been telling lies as I am in fact the actor Jamie Dornan, only the privileged ladies who met know the truth of my movie star good looks and my massive, eh, bank account. And I would have gotten away with it only for some brought this up....

Lying is part of the fab world everyone is afraid of been exposed or exposing themselves to someone who may know them..I think all here have lied about atleast one or all of the basic.s name age relationship status and the exact town they live,and were all lying to our family and friends |

We humans lie about 100 times a day. Or is it even more? Why should it be different on here? Au contraire because of the nature of the site there seems to be even more lies in order to protect your identity or to get your piece of fun.
Most are harmless lies ie pretending to be younger, and I don't get why people make such a big deal about it. Seriously you should ask yourself if you're such a saint and never done anything like that how did you end up on a site like this?
Also I would never take a profile at full face value, it only gives you an idea. When I chat to a person here I get a feeling for his/her personality/character and I build my decision to meet on that and not on the hypothesis if he's lying about for example his age what else is he lying about. I'm not going to marry the guy. |

If someone has an std and is aware of it, I assume he/she gets treated for it as no one likes to walk around with one. It's more the ones who don't get tested and might have something that would worry me. However that's the risk you take by being on a site like this and all you can do is to practise safe sex and get regularly tested yourself. A person who lies about ie his/her age isn't any bigger risk than one that doesn't. There's no correlation. |

I'm aware that there are std that you can't treat and not to disclose such to a potential sex partner is a whole new topic.
I'm not defending lying or saying it's good. All I'm saying is that I don't judge people on their lil fibs (I'm not talking about serious lies) and I'm honest enough to confess that I've had/have my lil lies now and then myself. I'm struggling with your generalisation and conclusion and I think it's a bit naive to believe it will protect you in any way. But hey each on their own. |

It's under the topic of lies/lying to get someone to meet you.
There's a big difference between people who have lied, and people who do lie. I don't think it will protect me, but I do thing it will increase the chances of protecting me. Avoiding liars is only going to help protect me imo. Like condoms, they won't guarantee protection but they will help increase it.
As you say, each to their own and we are all entitled to make up our own minds on what is/isn't important. |

To me a lie on here just gets you in trouble. Why lie in the first place, lies make a situation awkward and in some cases threatening. Honestly gets you places here and in life in general  |

Lots of people are here for lots of reasons and personality I don't care if people lie to me it's not my business why they are here... what bugs me just a little is people forget why they are all here.... eg sex.fun.injoyment.fantasy |
