If you have sciatic pain its a disc problem so look at your lower back

Its not a massage therapist you need to see, a good chiropractor will be able to manouvre you to release the trapped nerve. For a quick fix, take some anti-inflammatory capsules like Ibuprofen.Soaking in an Epsom Salts bath will help to relax the muscles also.

Suffered with this for a full 12 months due to a prolapsed disc and believe me i feel your pain.

I tried a few quacks, chiropractors etc..all to no avail.

It has righted itself over time, i still get an occasional bout of it but nowhere like it used to be.

Theres lots of different yoga type stretches that need to be done daily to relieve it, all these are available on youtube.

You would need to rule out a disc problem like a herniated disc

Buy the book called Treat your own back. Easons or any good book shop. I know all about back pain trust me. I suffered for years until I got this book and did the exercises in it. Doctors and physio's will also recommend it. Hope you get some relief.

Get to your gp and get an mri so you know which disc/s are causing it

Meath

Go see a physiotherapist.

They will give you exercises to help with the pain and find what's causing the actual pain.

"Start doing yoga it does wonders for the back"

You need a diagnosis first

I started Pilates last year to try and help herniated disc pain and nearly crippled myself - had to have it removed

I suffered for years too and it righted its self for a while, the pain would come back occasionally but not as bad, then it came back more and more often till I had it full time, worse than ever, turned out I had three discs out in my back, got them put back bye have not looked back since.,you will think it will right itself but it never does.
