GENUINELY SCARED OF BDSM GATHERINGS
A listener feels things are a bit too "deregulated" in the BSDM world...
"Hi PJ, I need your opinion and the opinion of your listeners about this. People deserve and need to know what's happening in their city.
All of us were happy with Oktober Fest, the Jazz Weekend and other cultural events in our lovely city but I wonder how many people know that from time to time other crazy and weird events are organized in the city centre?
In just few days in Cork there will be another (yes, another, it's not the first one) BDSM party in a public location in the city centre. Well promoted and detailed on adult sites, this kind of party brings together not just people from Cork, but also people from all over Ireland. All these people can be found online, as you can see in attached pictures.
What happens there? Frightening things, far away from what a normal person does, things that people usually do in their homes, their own bedrooms. Naked people, torture gear, ropes, hot wax, whips, canes, needles and other crazy things that are used in sexual deviant BDSM practice. People go there, meet other strangers and torture each other.
A few days later you can find adult sites full with their photos, bruised bodies, marks, strange sexual BDSM practices, ladies involved in sexual BDSM practice, being tortured in front of others by people who could be the same age as their sons, strangers from all ages involved in this without any shame. Legal age can't be verified. Health and mental health don't matter.
In the name of God, this is not happening among a circle of friends in someone's house, it’s happening in a public venue, people are doing this with strangers without even knowing their names. This is too much, too weird, this is a disgrace. For the sake of discretion they recommend not giving details about yourself, to use a fake name and to keep the practices secret.
I’m not talking about exploring your sexuality at home, in private, they are going to meet a bunch of strangers and torture each other. Is this normal, is this moral or legal? Who are these people? What kind of respect are they offering to their families, to others?
Behind their computers, using fake names these 7 or 8 people from Cork, “volunteers” as they call themselves, are recruiting and bringing up to 100 people from all around Ireland for this crazy BDSM deviant party.
I'm sincerely scared, this is going too far, it's their own business what they do at home but please, don't do it in the city centre where people are going to have dinner with family or teenagers are going to have fun.
I'm asking you and others, is this normal, legal, moral? Is this what we want to have in Cork? I have a family and kids, my daughter is 21, she needs to learn that sexuality must be explored in privacy and safety, not at this kind of party.
