"you could still have a drink"
...
OP, I've never been d*unk so does that class me as a 'non' drinker as I don't drink and end up out of control? There are quiet a few who'll only have a couple glasses all evening. It shouldn't stop you meeting. Any way if you're planning on playing alcohol will definitely diminish performance apart from memory of any activity if there happens to be any. |

I wouldn't stress about it. I'm sure the non drinker is too excited/nervous to judge you for drinking. If you meet in a pub I certainly wouldn't give it a second thought.its not like you are swigging from a nagging in the middle of a cafe (or are you lol) |

I'm teetotal and never had an issue in any regard when meeting people.
I don't expect a person not to drink around me, just as much as they don't expect me to drink; each to their own.
It's a very minor aspect of a meet imo... unless you're getting mullered |

As a non drinker i dont have any issues about people drinking atound me once they not messy d*unk.
I want people to feel relaxed nd have a good time so if a few drinks help then thats totally grand.
But i wouldn't play with someone that was very d*unk but thats just my personal preference. |

Until I get to know someone I prefer not to take a drink as I don't agree with drink driving and if I have a drink I won't be able to drive and then feel trapped in a situation I may want to get out of for a number of different reasons. SO for me until I'm certain I'll be happy spending the entire night in someones company I'll more than likely not drink. |

"Ye but feel like I'm been watched when someone very sober"
Exactly how I feel if I meet a non drinker. I tend not to meet them now. I don't need anyone counting my drinks |

If it's social only then drink fine, if its the prelude then pints are just gonna get in the way of the performance, once the drinking trousers are on you might as well forget sex unless you want to be disappointed lol
Does that make me a non-drinker??? |

That's a bit harsh turning down non drinkers. I defo prefer a non drinker over one that drinks too much. Like all posting non drinkers said they don't mind if you're having one. Just do what you like to do and be yourself.
I myself go either with none at all or max 2 glasses of wine |

Doesn't bother me if ppl have a few scoops but d*unk fun & frolics isn't my thing. I'm a drinker & love goin out with friends but when it comes to fab, I just don't bother. If I'm meeting at a hotel, I'm there for sex so I don't want to waste time at the bar and most of the socials are a county or two away so I'd rather drive that pay for drinks & accommodation, I just couldn't afford nor want to spend any extra shillings on fab events. |

No harsher than turning down any other preference |

We are a social drinker & non drinker couple. Some people / couples we met initially feel intimidated (for whatever unknown reason) because me, the male doesn't drink.
I can understand both sides of the discussion, but one should neither feel discriminated against, because of being a non-drinker, nor that one is a d*unkard because one enjoys a few drinks.
Being yourself when meeting people is the most important thing. Others will soon realise that you are a good person. Your real personality will shine through. Of course no one wants a geek non a d*unk plonker, just be yourself.
We are all here to enjoy a bit of fun.
While I don't drink and am initally thought to be a nerd, it often happens that the ladies like my understanding & considerate nature.
A load of crap..you may say... Perhaps but even swingers are discerning. |
