What's the craic with this. Every self respecting business with a bank account accepts visa debit. From the lad who mends lawnmowers to the butcher shop. All bar one group of businesses, the chippers. Why so? |

Don't know what chipper you're going to but I haven't taken cash out at an atm for about 8 months. Most places have contactless now. My local chipper has it too 
And as for a taxi, just pay with Hailo. Once yourcard details are on your Hailo account you can pay the driver by Hailo even if you didn't order the cab that way |

you see that's the issue ...I'm down the country and starving I've 18 euro in bank till midnight . Atm only dishes out 20s and the chipper won't take visa debit in fact the two chippers in the town won't . Cash is king in the chipper business |
