Other than the obvious phone/camera do you have a "real" camera? I think a photographer's gift is their eye. Maybe you should start snapping again.

I would have loved that opportunity. You should start playing again. I have an acquaintance who actually charted a hit during the early 90s (broke through top 40 but didn't stay long) sold a few albums with his friends and gave it up. When he talks about it you can hear, in his voice, it's like he is talking about the perfect love that he lost.

You are only 30, get back on a bike and go for a ride (if you can, injuries suck) I just read about a 50/100km bike event for charity. You could become the go to guy for bike find raising.

If it wasn't for the cigarettes, the beer and the women I could have made it...

as a younger woman I had a beautiful 78 string harp , and I could play it . Sadly I had to put it in storage when I moved to the big shmoke and my fingers have not seen its strings in 20 years . Stuck for a few quid when my kids were small I sold it for a quarter of its value , always regretted it .

You should look to see if anyone teaches the harp. I am sure you could practice while you decide if buying a harp makes sense to you. I can honestly say that you selling something you valued so much to help with the finances (and kids are involved) speaks volumes to your character. I would be honoured to be a friend to you.

That's great advice. We should all join adult sport leagues, music lessons and all sorts of things. I think I am going to sign up for guitar lessons (I think my hands are too big for the ukulele)

They look quite complicated. I'm ashamed to say I don't think I've ever seen them before googling them just now. There must be a market for the National Irish Pipes, somewhere.

Like a few others here I love photography but due to a lack of time and other priorities in life I never got to take it as far as I would have liked
