In the UK yesterday...I saw our manager advertising a Vauxhall Mokka...!
I can understand Manchester Untied fans embarrassment now, let's hope it doesn't spread to our kit...

Because of financial constipation I stopped watching sky sports a few years ago. I feel like I have a much better perspective on football now. I don't get hit with all the hype. Super Sunday, super dooper Sunday, the most epic footballgasm Monday night football match of all time that will impact the destination of the title thus season ... even tho its only October.
Every football team is a corporate whore. We, the fans, are only a source of income to them. They milk us for as much as they will get away with. Man utd just happen to be the best at it. The utd board don't care if they win the title per se. They want to be in the champions league. Ultimately they only care that their customers will spend money. Being successful is how you induce the customers to spend.
For us its different. We give them cash to be part of a tribe. We care about how our team does. It reflects on us. We take pride in how well our team does (as if we have played a key role in that success)
I love Liverpool. Walking into Anfield makes me feel emotional like nothing else has. The museum made me cry. Passion and pride. But Liverpool are just as much a corporate whore are utd. They are just not as good at it.
That said, I am loving the way we play this season
I thought it was interesting that jose said they stopped us getting 3 points. Fergie would have complained that utd were robbed of two points. Just an interesting difference of personality and perspectives |
