What's the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you??

Had a deep conversation with someone recently that i quiet liked. She told me nobody had ever done anything for her that she would class as romantic so i decided it would be nice to send her some flowers just to say "well now you can say someone did something nice for you"

What's the kindest thing anyone has done for you?

The kindest thing anyone ever did for me was when I was sick and barely able to get off the couch a lovely friend of mine cooked a lasagne and delivered it to the house so I didn't have to worry about getting the kids a dinner. She thought it was a very small thing to do, but it was a very big deal to me.

Coming through newark airport and had lost my bank card night previous. My case was over weight and i was at desk taking stuff out to give away to others in airport that i couldnt pay for the extra weight due to not having my card. A german couple watched what happened walked away and took out money and walked over tapped me on shoulder and gave me 155 dollars. I took their details and returned a transfer to them 2 days later of doubke what they provided. It was 8 years ago i will never ever forget the gesture.

I went through something very traumatic in my 20s and needed to get away and a person very close to me spent nearly 2000 to fly me half way across the world for a holiday and to recuperate. To this day is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.

When my eldest was born I hadn't slept for two weeks solid. The night nurse seen I was struggling on my first night tears the lot she took my her away and told me to sleep. I will be forever greatful for the kindness she showed me. But a tad bad for not being the good mum.

I lived abroad for a few years, one day I got chatting a lovely old Irish couple in my job. We had such a laugh together and a heart to heart about home. The wife was from the same county as me. Anyways the next day they popped in with a framed picture for me. I of course started bawling, they reminded me so much of my grandparents. When they were gone I took out the picture of home to look at and noticed an envelope stuck to the back. They wrote a lovely note to me and had stuck in a €100 gift card for the local supermarket. I was in shock I couldn't believe it. I've never forgotten it though.

When I was stressing out about an inevitable situation I had to face, a friend listened, reassured me and rang me back five minutes later to say that they had booked a break away for me...so lovely.

So many amazing moment's that were humanity and kindness is proven, pay it forward people.

I'm lucky to have a lot of kind people in my life.

One thing that always sticks in my mind is....

I was young, pregnant, single and had just been told I was very ill. I was sitting in work one day kinda zoned out. A lady I worked with left for the day but came back 20 mins later and handed me a bottle of baby talc. Opened the seal and squeazed the bottle up close to my face and said to me "no matter what life throws at you wee dear you just smell this and remember you will have your baby in your arms very soon"

Might sound silly but it truly was thee kindest thing anyone has ever done for me.

Now I'm not so young not pregnant and not ill but I still love the smell of baby talc it just cheers me up.

It was a fabber,an ex fabber actually.I was quite ill last year and a guy I had met from here made a three hour round trip to bring me a hug and a cup of tea on the way home from the hospital. What made it even more significant was that he had a mad schedule himself at the time, but said he knew I needed the hug,ive never forgotten it.

Too many to mention, people have literally saved my life by talking to me, they will probably never fully understand the weight of their words. Sometimes an act of kindness can be just taking a few minutes to talk to another human being.

My husband saved my life one morning after I got a stroke. The doctor in hospital told me two days later, if he didn't do what he did when he did it, our kids would have come up stairs an hour later to find me dead as there was another massive clot heading to my brain which doctors were able to break up with emergency treatment.

True genuine friends who are your rock no matter what you do.

Friends from home who you may not talk to for years ... but when you meet up its like you never left.

Not into loads of false friends, just the ones who know me well.

Can't beat true friendship.
