I done the first of six a few wks ago, full body! Bikini is definitely the sorest area but not in bearable, and soon as she lifts the laser the pain is gone and it only takes a few seconds for each pulse of laser. But it is definitely not pain free as they claim!!! |

I was surprised as I genuinely believed the ads when they said it was pain free!!! The under arms are a bit sore too but legs are fine. It's worth it for the results though |

I'm not worried about legs and underarms. I don't mind waxing them. I just hate getting my bikini done. I've a consultation on Friday anyway. So we'all see how it goes. How soon do you see results? |

Straight away. Quite a bit of regrowth after 2nd session but that's due to your hair growth cycle, then after the 3rd session almost all gone...and mine was a baaad case |

"Out of curiosity what are the cost and is it a once off course of 6 treatments ? "
I priced it with therapie. They are €490 for 6 sessions for the bikini. But a local salon is doing it for €30 a session. So I'm gonna give them a try. I don't know the rest yet. |

"I was thinking about getting my bikini and underarms done so interested to hear how ye are getting on. And yes the price is important
And so is how long it lasts "
They say you will need top ups - varying depending on your hairiness. I'm hoping only 2 a year |

Beware the local salons - a friend was badly burned due to incorrect equipment use. Therapie is expensive but you know you can trust them |

I know I need to be careful but I know a few girls that used this salon and they swear by it. |

Welcome back to one of fabs most beautiful ladies I've heard it's quiet successful but the number of sessions can vary from person to person the bikini area is a sensitive place but once you have a reputable therapist doing it for you the results can be amazing hope it all goes well for you |

Yeah. This is something I'm worried about. I'm light brown haired. We'll see what they say at the consultation. |

It's a minimum of 6 treatments. After that you always have to get retouches done and it's nowhere as in twice a year. I have to get it done 4 times a year.
And yes, it won't work on fair hair. |

Each own their own and I can partially understand it when you're quite hairy and/or dark haired. With all those treatments you never know what longterm effect it has and/or you might regret it at some stage.
I think that's a lot of money over the years, I prefer to spent on proper treats like chocolate and ice cream, spa, professional massage, a new toy or a trip to London.... |

just douse yourself in your flammable liquid of choice and ignite then quickly roll around in sand or get a friend with a fire extinguisher to put you out and boom hair free head to toe |

Oh ive been talking about doing this for the last year or more!!! The cost is off putting and the thoughts of the pain.. but if it actually lasted I wouldn't mind. I'd be afraid I'd be like 10 sessions in and still not working and all that money down the drain! My hair grows like at a crazy rate. I could shave daily really!! |

My friend has one and swears by it but does admit that home machine is not as powerful or as permanent as salon one, plus no proper training given but she is dark haired and is hair free from face down but uses it twice a month to maintain this and compares it to being pinged with a rubber band. Had a beautician say to me that you have to be careful with the amount of uses just like the sun bed. I am debating getting a home machine and praying it won't end up like the fiasco when I tried home waxing!!! Don't ask |

It doesn't work on blonde, ginger or grey hairs as it needs the pigment in the colour to kill the hair bulb.
Try be as pale, skin wise, as you can to reduce the pain (more pigment/colour) more pain.
I'd go with a place you know and trust. Ask about insurance.
Otherwise.. eahhh enjoy! |

It wasn't too bad at all. But she told me that she doesn't put it too high for the first treatment. I have another one in 2 weeks so we'll see how that goes. |

It didn’t really work for me unfortunately. But it could’ve had more to do with me not having the patience for shaving between sessions. I’m back to waxing now. I know that’s not much help. Sorry. |

I have a friend who has worked in this area for a long time. She said it totally depends on the machine used. A lot of clinics buy older and less powerful machines. But if a proper machine is used then a top up maybe once a year may be required. I'm definitely investing |

"Hi ladies. I'm considering getting my bikini lasered. I hate getting waxed. What's the verdict. Is it worth it? Is it painful.
"
Why only ladies??
Got waxed and didn’t think it was too bad, got laser and hardly notice it.. so pain isn’t an issue.
You don’t get that initial sexy smooth feeling like after waxing because you have to shave before hand (shaving is a pain) but after all the sessions are done you do! |

Full manzillian I think it’s called, no doubt pussy lips are more sensitive than any other part of the body tho!!
The strength increases each session too so maybe I’m not there yet!

If you’re worried about the pain you can get Emla numbing cream from the chemist and apply like 30 mins before your session, and avoid caffeine that day. Try go to a clinic that has a zimmer cooling machine.
Most laser clinics price match each other now, and have to beat competitors by 10%.
Sensius Laser clinics are generally cheaper than everywhere else so take their prices to where you choose to go, be very careful wherever you go. The girls may be fresh out of college and are working on targets and commission and will try sell you aftercare you dont need or treat you at a lower setting so you’ll need to buy more top ups.
Alexandrite lasers are the best type of laser to go for if you’re fair skinned.
Defo worth it!! |

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflamatory, so they tell you not to take that as they need to see your skins reaction to the heat of the laser. To know which settings you can take.
Ask the clinic about numbing creams. It can only be used in smaller areas like bikini line/ua you can’t use it on larger areas like legs.
