I agree coconut oil. Just massage it onto your skin before your shower. The steam will open up your pores. Always finish your shower with a blast of cold water. Avoid touching your face. Change towels and pillowcases frequently. Use a sensite mosturiser. Sudocrem on the bad areas at night.
I had bad skin during pregnancy. |

I was the same, skin was awful all through pregnancy and for 5-6 months after, I queried it with the doc n he just said it would ease once the hormones returned to normal! But yes definately like going through puberty again |

Plenty of protein rich foods, lots of water, ye could try the coconut oil things as others have said (great for your hair to and for cleaning your teeth) and ye could even start taking omega 3.
Your skin will be glowing in no time |

Sudocreme is for babies bums.. don't put it on your face.
Your hormones will be all over the place after giving birth. Give them a bit of time to settle.
In the meantime, use gentle cleansing products, moisturise, take care of your skin.
Go in to a good skin care salon and get a skin analysis. If you need to see the doc they should let you know.
Diet will help also and look after yourself, giving birth is a big trauma on your whole body. |

Found the best thing all round for your body and skin is water. Keeping hydrated and mind yourself we all forget to mind ourselves after having babies. Give yourself time xx |

"Contraception "
Ironically you are right... contraception is prescribed for teenage skin conditions to settle the hormonal changes... I mean the pill as I think wearing condoms on your face is only a good look at swinger parties |

I remember having a face like the canadian rockie mountains on my first child. i didnt look too pleasant at all!!
Turns out, I was completely run down and my diet had a huge part to play while i was pregnant. Eat well especially plenty of leafy green veggies to build up the iron youve lost during the birth. Remember whatever you were eating while pregnant fed your baby first and then fed you.
Sleep while your baby sleeps, its not easy but, try nap during the day to give uour body a rest. And water, plenty of it to flush your system to rejuvenate your body. It will help give you a kick start to recovery.
Try some gentle skincare products that contain Salicylic Acid. The Normaderm Range by Vichy might be ideal for you as its suitable for sensitive skin.
Finally, welcome to motherhood, i hope you and baby are doing well x |
