There seems to be a lot of acrimony going on here of late.... am I missing something? A lot of old friends are leaving the site and I wondering why? anyone got any ideas? keep it polite please..... |

Absolutely no idea. Sometimes I think I'm living in a parallel world! I read a thread and think it's fine and next thing there's talk of hidden meanings, sly digs and bullying. Goes straight over my head!

Same shit, different day. Any hint of drama and the same crew are buzzing around it like flies to shit. Steer clear of the gossips, drama queens and backstabbers and you've got nothing to worry about - just as in real life. |

I rarely use the forum for that reason, but various passive aggressive or just plain aggressive status updates on my news feed over the past few days piqued my interest and I came to have a look. Grown adults acting like children, nothing new  |

Same as Lolli . I must live in a parallel universe to the one which contains Fab. I read the posts on this and rarely see nothing only banter. Suggests to me that some may be unable to accept/partake in the banter so maybe this place ain't right for them.
If it's malicious then yes u have the right to feel aggrieved but there's always the block button.
I don't see the need to leave a group ... Just block the offender, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on .. There's enough shite in real life without your online life too .. Just sayin  |

The block button does nothing but stop someone sending you nasty abusive messages. It doesn't stop people spreading rumours, it doesn't stop people poking you on the forum in a way that makes you feel ridiculous if you complain, because it's made to look like a joke even though you know it isn't. It also doesn't stop your aggressor from making other profiles to send you more messages, to contact other people about you, and on and on it goes. The block button is mostly a pile of useless shite, because at the end of the day, if someone wants to get at you, they will. One way or another. |

There's some very good & valid points on this thread, and unfortunately most bullies will not stop as long as they're getting a response from someone, it doesn't even have to be the person they are bullying. Personally I always ask someone not to give in (be that here or in real life) because
1. We shouldn't be forced to do something we don't want to.
2. That is when they win & it does not mean that they are going to stop.
I'd like to think my friends know me well enough to dismiss out of hand any lies/crap being said about me. I know a few people here and my opinion would not change about them no matter what I was to read or was told. |
