Love was changing the minds of pretenders,

While chasing the clouds away.

The last night of summer 2016...now it's autumn, one of my favourite seasons...

...Where are the songs of spring? Ay, Where are they?

Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,—

While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,

And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;

Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn

Among the river sallows, borne aloft

Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;

And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;

Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft

The red-breast whistles from a garden-croft;

And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

JKeats.

I think August is my favourite month, I get a bit S.A.D. during the next 6 months.

Try to remember the kind of September when life was slow and oh, so mellow

Try to remember the kind of September when grass was green and grain was yellow

Try to remember the kind of September when you were a tender and callow fellow

Try to remember and if you remember then follow

Try to remember when life was so tender that no one wept except the willow

Try to remember when life was so tender that dreams were kept beside your pillow

Try to remember when life was so tender that love was an ember about to billow

Try to remember and if you remember then follow

Deep in December it's nice to remember although you know the snow will follow

Deep in December it's nice to remember without the hurt the heart is hollow

Deep in December it's nice to remember the fire of September that made us mellow

Deep in December our hearts should remember and follow

Try the "daylight bulbs" for the house, they make a big difference.

The grey days wreck my head. It's not every grey day but there's a certain type of grey that occurs maybe only half a dozen times in a year and I've discovered that I'm better off just going home and getting away from it. I'm actually being serious btw.

Ha, I'm sitting here this minute listening to Harry Belafonte singing it. I love Harry!

...Its autumn in New York that brings the promise of new love

Autumn in New York is often mingled with pain

Dreamers with empty hands, may sigh for exotic lands

Its autumn in New York, its good to live it again.

Autumn in New York, the gleaming rooftops at sundown

Autumn in New York, it lifts you up when you're run down

Jaded rose and gay divorcees who lunch at the Ritz

Will tell you that its divine.

This autumn in New York transforms the slums into Mayfair

Autumn in New York, you'll need no castle in Spain

Lovers that bless the dark on benches in Central Park

Greet autumn in New York, its good to live it again.

Louis plays us out...

Thanks Candy, might do a couple of sunbeds, not for vanity, feel better afterwards. Eat better, drinking less keeps the big D at bay.

I hear your, not trying to be funny, but I find it's the grey rainy days coupled with unpainted concrete blocks that really does my head in.......

I usually find the rain to be a bit of relief tbh. The incessant grey makes it feel like it's raining anyway.

I hate the short days

Nothing worse than driving in in dark and home in dark

My whole persona changes once I see a stretch in the evening.
