Looking through profiles of women, they describe themselves as curvey, when you check their pics they usually look overweight and out of shape. Is curvey an accurate description or just politically correct term
Before its brought up that I've no pics up, when I need to I swap pics and I'm neither of the above |

Curvy to me is a woman who has a good healthy body...abit of curve is good.
Also the options are curvy or fabulous...there is no copper hardened rule on what people describe themselves as.Each to their own.I've seen people put average on their profile and they could be very athletic or curvy...again its opinion based.
I say well done to anyone who is happy to put curvy on their profile, its not something that should bother anyone else. Its their profile. Dont link overweight and being healthy or not with a curvy status on someones profile. |

I don't know why people are so bothered about how people describe themselves on their profile here. It's an option that has to be filled in. I'm curvy and I'm over weight. So what? You do you and let everyone else worry about them selves |

Thank you, my pics are just flattering, I know I could stand too loose afew lbs but who cares! I'm happy in my skin and a body type option on an Internet site certainly doesn't define me or any of the other ladies here |

It's arguably the most subjective of physical perceptions, made harder by the need, and limitations, of labels on here.
It's how someone sees themselves, a word on an internet profile doesn't define a person so what's it matter to anyone else. |

It's whatever you decide it means to you, the same as any other body type description. |

That's my idea of curvy but like I said everyone has different opinions on it |

I don't know why you're worried about curvy...curvy is good
It's the athletic people that confuse me...
That should be sub-devided into events...Olympic only...no darts or snooker.....or golf!
As a general rule when a woman describes herself as athletic there is a general lack of boobage. .
Apples now, is a self described curvy...bww...big wobbly woman..
Or as she told a doctor (after receiving a morphine injection in her 'curvy' bottom, and a little out of it) who was advising her about the benifits of loosing weight on her back ...
" I my good man, am a fetish!! "
Lol..... |

I think in general most women will label themselves curvy if they are over weight a little. I have seen women here labeled curvy however that were very slim and ive also seen the other xtreme so ultimately it's down to the individuals perception.

curve/curvy
a. A line that deviates from straightness in a smooth, continuous fashion.
b. A surface that deviates from planarity in a smooth, continuous fashion.
c. Something characterized by such a line or surface, especially a rounded line or contour of the human body.
so you can be curvy regardless of being under or over weight |

When these threads start I cringe. There seems to be us and them rift between slim and bigger women here that shouldn't exist. We all live only once and it takes different types to make the world what it is. |

Ok I always call a spade a spade and yes that is true.
Both sides on this start threads to get at the other. The reality is media the world in general and even the health authorities promote slim as the way to be. However political correctness in the past has called all this fat shaming etc. Someone can't send a child to school with anything that may make them obese. We have ads on television that use obese children to scare others. I myself don't think it's right but it's way our ruling bodies have decided is. We watch operation transformation each year and congratulate those who do well in it. The truth is the world promotes slim. The we I use is meant as country in general.
I don't agree with it totally but the facts speak for themselves. This thread was probably started to provoke which is wrong. If you believe yourself as curvy and describe yourself as such I say fairplay and me happy with your choice. |

Thais is why body positive is the way to go.
Everybody is alright. Fat, thin, hairy, disabled, etc.
Everybody has the right to love and celebrate their own bodies.(wink)
Everybody has the right to find any body type attractive.
Being divisive is pointless, there is enough negativity in the universe.
Peace out |

And miraculously the OP says nothing since starting the thread ... maybe they have lost their wooden spoon for stirring lol ... Personally I believe what matters is confidence because there is nothing sexier than a confident woman |

I see myself as being curvy ( which is why I described myself as such)
Others may look at our pics and see me as overweight
Either way it doesn't define me, I am who I am, not how I look
Yes the pics and profile are what gets peoples attention on here. But its the chatting and getting to know us that leads to meets and fun.

I don't give a fiddlers what people see me as to be honest. And i don't agree there is a them and us with the ladies on fab, or a rift, well at least not between the majority. I certainly don't judge people by their size / bodytype. I may have a preference for meets and that my perogative. Be body confident in your own skin and no.one can touch you |

I'd class myself as curvy but wouldn't say I am over weight. I think everyone has their own ideas on what's over weight and what's not. I have been called fat by people but I don't let it bother me. We are what we are. Some people will like us and some people won't. |

"Curvy covers a multitude of body types. I just look at the pics and decide myself "
This. curvy tends to be used by women who may not like describing themselves as overweight or stocky. Perfectly fine word to use though as it covers most shapes. |

All I know is that, after looking at most of the women on here, I need to lose 3 stone at least before I ever would have the confidence to go to a M&G, let alone a party. I'd feel like the Michelin man in a room full of sexy Fabbers!
Sorry if this is not reality, as I have yet to been able to attend. It's just my perception from pics and forums. |

We went to a club recently ,
There were two outrageously beautiful eastern europeans , they were a bit up their own arse.
Even though they were far sexier than us by "societies" standards it was clear they were not very friendly and we were sure they were d of their face.
We realised at this club (our first club experience) that looks really arent all.that important .
We ended up having fun with a less attractive girl , who was curvy, killer curves.
She was lovely really friendly and just wanted to enjoy an experience.
We were far more attracted to her even though aesthically she wasnt , cant compare with a genuine real person with a genuine smile on their face.
We are glad there was two 10/10 girls there and we are glad they showed us it really is not just about looks.

Your profile is like a cv .
Some ppl are genuine , some over sell some undersell them selves.
Some ppl lie a little some people dont realise how good their body is.
It doesnt matter if someone says they are curvy or athletic thats a guideline from their perception or what perception they want you to think they are.
Ultimately, you are the only one that can say if your happy with their body and if you find their body to be curvy , athletic slim etc. |
