"Hi all - so a female fab friend is desperately looking for an All Ireland ticket - she has even promised to have her first gangbang if I can source her a ticket! Let's get her one lads!!!!" " ....it would be nearly easier to get a gang bang than a ticket at this stage... |

Two things need to happen for Mayo to win: Mayo need to find a level of intensity that they haven't found yet this year, and Dublin need to have an off day. For Dublin there's a serious danger that they peaked for the semi final and it could be difficult to get back there. We'll know soon enough. |

"Dublin on an off day wud still beat this mayo team, still relyin on the same few lads and im sorry but their best days are behind them!dublin by 5+"
Generally speaking, Dublin have a much better team than Mayo, man for man. That's not always enough though. Remember Donegal's demolition job on a much fancied Dublin team not so long ago? A lot of this Mayo team have experience of beating Dublin in the past. Anything is possible on the day. The weather could yet be a factor as it's probably going to be a wet day. |

After a massively poor season, from Mayo, I can't actually believe we're in the final.
I feel we are due a big game.
I hope... |

This time Mayo are no under pressure and not expected to win. It's Dublin's to lose and that has its own pressure along with it being almost impossible for Dublin players not to be over confident against this mayo team. Dublin leaked two against Kerry. If mayo could do that and keep the nerve well you never know. This one could be hanging in the balance with 5min to go.

Dont think dunlin will be over confident against mayo cos mayo are the one team who can physically put it up to them for 70 mins! And if its a wet day it def levels the playing field!Still think dublins forwards and bench will still be too much |

I honestly don't think Dublin players will be complacent. Mayo have a pretty good record against swashbuckling Dublin teams in the recent past and Jim Gavin certainly won't let them get too excited. You're right about Mayo having no pressure on them, apart from the expectations of their own supporters, so that should help them a little. They're one of those teams that nobody will resent them winning if they finally manage it and deserve it on the day. If they had reverted to cynical tactics ten years ago like so many others did then they'd have a couple of titles by now. For neutral spectators they have been one of the enjoyable teams to watch over the years where it's been more about outscoring the opposition than playing to a system. |

I don't think they look on it as work at all. They seem to be having the craic most of the time! |

Agree on the off day needed. Mayo knocking on door a while now, three finals in five years, very consistent. Oshea, O'Connor, Keegan, Higgins and Moran are excellent players. They don't have the strength in depth on the bench like Dublin however, Dublin by two or three points is the head and heart prediction.
Let's hope its a cracker of a match |

"Mayo by 2 points 2-12 to 2-10
Agree Mucky, Mayo to score 2:12, but Dublin to score 1:11, Mayo by four points!!"
That would be an amazing defensive performance to hold Dublin to twelve scores. I suspect they'd need to have about thirteen players back to manage it, thereby reducing the effectiveness of their own attack. I think if Mayo win it'll be a high scoring game with Mayo simply outscoring the Dubs. |

I was at the Mayo/Tyrone Dublin/Donegal games in Croke park earlier this year. All four teams set up with thirteen men goalside of the ball as much as possible. If Mayo are disciplined and don't concede frees they can restrict Dublins scoring. BB isn't the player he was last year, unfortunately, as he was/is a pleasure to watch. Dublin scored 12 points from play vs Kerry, their forwards aren't as good as the were, Mayo have had their eye on this game since losing the semi final last year. Mayo are stronger at the back Tha Kerry.
I think Dublin are a confidence team, vand if thats shaken, Dublin are shaken, the key to that is Cluxton, if he is hit hard early he becomes shaky. That permeates throughout the Dublin team. If we close down the kickouts and force the long kick out, we have a 50/50 chance of winning those. AOS is also playing a different game to last year where he was left alone inside the 45m line last year, and marked by three players, that wont gappen this year, ge will be better supported this year.
Don't forget Dublins defence is weaker than last year, Rory OC is a huge loss!!
Dublins danger man is McMenemin!! If we can contain him, we will win!! |

To be fair, BB only needs a five or ten minute flash of his old self to turn the game on its head. As for confidence, you're right if talking about pre Kerry. Five points down only to fight back level and then drop three points down again. That's something they've never done before. I just hope it's the cracker it deserves to be. It's due to be wet which is a pity. |

Abu Mhaigh Eo tickets got and will be in my Elverys red and green tomorrow. Am I the only one but have people sensed the omens are all there for this year??? 65 years a waiting and as they are rank outsiders pressure seems much less this year. There seems to be a subdued subtle belief it will come west. We are not shouting it from the roof tops this time but I feel we will be tomorrow evening. |
