So the bus drivers are going to throw the city into more chaos over the next few weeks to get a pay rise like the alias drivers did.
Personally I think the problem is that they all don't get laid enough. |

why do people complain when any kind of issue thats not fucking and sucking is discussed here ? Are we meant to be sex robots with only fucking and sucking to talk about here ? boils my fucking piss !!!!If you have fek all to contribute to the subject then say nothing ! |

Well at least they're going somewhere. They had leaflets spread in the bus discussing why they're doing the strike. I wish them all the best, just hope they don't increase the fairs again to make up for this  |

Yep. The outlay on public transport is pathetic in comparison to other European cities. It beggars belief that our govnmt are squabbling over wage increases (none since 2008 for bus drivers, remember) and are simultaneously appealing for the right to be denied 13 billon. Mental. |

Dublin must be the only capital city in europe with no underground rail system..problem is we tend not to think big..even look at the M50..imo its a car park..there should be 5 or 6 lanes each way not 3 |

Dublin must be the only capital city in europe with no underground rail system..problem is we tend not to think big..even look at the M50..imo its a car park..there should be 5 or 6 lanes each way not 3 "
The m50 would be sufficient if there were a decent public transport. But because there isn't, everyone uses the car.... |

This dispute is after been to the labour court who are a completely independent body and they recommend a 9% pay increase, and the union rejected it
If they recommend a 20% increase and Dublin bus rejected it there would be public uproar why is it ok for the unions to reject the labour courts decision and employers can't ???  |

I find it funny when people complain about not having a decent public transport system. If the gov tried to build one those local to it would be campaigning strongly against it. In saying that our planners won't put one in until there are a load of houses there first. Chicken and egg. Plus our planners don't put the right density of housing in place to support one. And our gov have spent last few years bringing all the jobs to Dublin but forgot that those workers need to live somewhere and travel to work. It requires a bit of joined up thinking that doesn't seem to exist in the public service in this country. |
