We're genetically motivated to mate with as many partners as possible in order to guarantee the continuation of our genes.

Although we now don't want to have babies all over the place, we still have that biological urge to 'spread our seeds'. And while we have evolved the ability to experience love and empathy which can allow us to be content with one partner, we still have that 'wandering eye'.

It has been suggested that a male will ejaculate greater volumes of semen with a new partner therefore increasing the chance of a successful mate. Some of us, not all, will lose interest because, for lack of a better expression; it's been done. We've had success with this partner, it's time to 'spread' more.

Females, on the other hand, are motivated to mate with the genetically superior males in order to guarantee a greater chance their offspring will be fit and healthy, ie. survival of the fittest.

Not always the case. No matter how good the sex is it runs the risk of becoming stale and boring after a length of time. Sometimes the situation, not the person you're with, makes the sex exciting. Sometimes a dirty one night stand of just pure meaningless sex can get you more excited. And it's that excitement that us men chase. You lose that over time with a long term partner regardless of how good the sex is.

So why are we all on here looking for ways to enhance our sex lives? The singles want to meet new people and the couples want to introduce or include others into their sex lives. I highly doubt there are many, if any, monogamous people on here.

But that's the point I was making. You and the other swinging couples enjoy the lifestyle in a trustful relationship which enables both of you to be with other people and enjoy it. I never suggested that there is something lacking.

I hope you don't think I was having a go at you because that was far from my intention. I was just making the point that variety is exciting and couples like yourselves get to indulge in that variety in an honest and mature way....because you enjoy it and it's exciting.

well im on this as im a certain age single not interested in a relationship at the moment and all my friends dont socialise so difficult to have a soicial life so i find the social side of fab fantastic and through it have had fantastic sex great holidays and attended brillant themed weekends and got the opportunity to attend some clubs and made great friends both male and female . And apologies to the op this is off the topic . Will i ever be able to go back to the vanilla social life, it will be difficult
