Hi folks, just looking for a little tourist advice. Arrive this evening, home Sunday. What do I need to do/ see in Dublin? Is there a naughty side to the city? What about the innocent tourist side? Just 2 lassies over for a great weekend, hopefully.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find naughty things to do in Dublin. There's no clubs and to there's a couple of sex cinemas you may be as well to stay away (check the forum threads on these places)

Maybe put a meet in the meet section?

I'm sure someone from Dublin will tell you the touristy stuff

Enjoy your weekend

There is loads to see and people to do in Dublin, the city is ripe with history, culture and eager young men, on and off fab. Put up a meet, send a message or two to the people who catch your eye. If all else fails get your Ass to CopperFace Jacks. Guaranteed to pull in there

I'd offer to take you out but I'm away with work

Be sure to tell us all how you got on and if you need any other advice, ask away, we'd all be only too happy to help.

Xxx

Dublin

Avoid temple bar. overpriced tourist trap.

Rose gave you a good start.

If you have the weather stroll the grounds of trinity too, or the many parks dublin has to offer.

check out our museums, some of which have free admission and no doubt are running something to do with the 1916 rising.

hop on the dart and head to bray or dun laoghaire

for naughtyness, there's nothing you can do, because i'm not in dublin this weekend

The GPO have some interactive 1916 Easter rising thing going on.

I actually took my daughter in there when we were back over the Easter in fact. I'm from Dublin, and I must of pasted that building a million times and was never in it, so I took my little one in. It's a fabulous building and a working post office. I was giving my little one the same speal my old man used to give me. "See them holes son, they're bullet holes"

Thanks again! I think we have a basic plan. Tonight a few drinks. Tomorrow walking tour, leprechaun museum (you've gotta right?!) And then out tomorrow night. Gotta hit temple bar at some point this weekend but then move on. Just need to get to the airport now!

Yea I had an American lady over for a few days and she was all chat about going to the temple bar .... I took her to all the spots that I would like where locals would be .... But afterwards on reflection - even taking the price difference into consideration I did feel bad that we didn't go in the end to the bars it's a tourists must see let's be honest .... We did Have food in KLAW temple bar tho newish seafood bar it's excellent id highly recommend

SoCal

There's a party a little south of Dublin on Saturday. If you contact joandwex they may be able to give you more details.
