Driver theory test

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Ok, so I have my full licence years now but a friend of mine is doing her theory test and she sent me a link to do the test online.. and I failed it

I'm shocked at myself. However, I did think that a lot of the questions could have had 1, 2 or all 4 of the answers correct. I suppose it depends on which is the most correct

So do you think if you had to do it again you'd fail?

Its really hard.. I'd really hate to have to do it again. The thoughts of it and sure even when they do go and pass chances of a new driver getting reasonable insurance is low too. No win really

I'm sitting next to my daughter while she learns, I don't think I'd like to do it these days. I remember my motorbike test was a fella running round town watching you pootle past him every so often, you knew exactly where he was going to be and could do what you wanted anywhere else

Mind I'm showing me age now ....

I am driving year's, no points, penalties or crashes....Nada...licence is the cleanest thing about me but.... I did theory test when my son brought it home and I failed it. Like you I felt the questions/answers were a tad cryptic

I'm just glad I never had to do the theory test. It was Highway Code when I took mine.

It did take me more than one go to pass my test tho. And that was in an automatic.

I was fine when I did pass and had no-one next to me telling me what to do.

What's involved in pulling a double axle trailer

Is the question all just related to the trailer or a full test on rules of the road again ?

I did mine in Spain nearly 15 years ago now, failed it in English on the first attempt, pasted it in Spanish, second time round. They'd no English exam for me on the resit and I thought my Spanish was better than it was, If I'm totally honest it wasn't and I guessed most of the multiple choice questions. I guess I was just lucky that day. Wish I'd played the lotto that day too now, who knows!!!

The practical is the easy part. Clutch control and confidence, that's it.

No.. everyones is going up and its because I'm considered middle aged now that it's still quite low in comparison to a lot of people

That's it really isn't.. the confidence is hard to learn. I remember when I started driving I used to avoid certain roads as I was terrified.
