It's discriminatory unless there's a good reason and I'm trying to find out if there is a reason like men would start unzipping too early to be ready by the time they arrive there.... |

It's just a reminder of a woman's place in life. They have tendency to forget so it's just a gentle reminder.
Lol, I'm kidding I've never actually noticed this. I'll be checking this in every bathroom now.
When you think of people you say "men and women" so it's probably something as simple as that. |

We ladies have no problem to spend some good time in the bathroom and look into the mirror for a while so that you can even settle the bill. So that can't be it! |

Then you round the door and the queue is up to the door... can't hop from foot to foot in those heels and all women know hopping from foot to foot slows down the need to wee |

Women can hold it for longer?
Oh and another likely one is that the architect who designed it was most likely male and builder most definitely male. It's a wonder they thought to put in a ladies loo at all!

"To stop men from loitering at the ladies or coming up behind women leaving the loo. "
That reminds me of my glorious mistake when I first hit a full packed out pub with Irish signs on the toilets only the whole pub helped me to find the ladies after I emerged red headed from the fir one... |

Simple, women will use the men's if the ladies is too busy. But try that the other way round and the cops will be called. So you can see walking up that there's a queue and divert. |

Surely it depends where you sit? They can't be further away from everywhere in the bar. |

haha do any guys actually do that! let the mouse out of the house prior to the getting to the loo?
what a gas thread DogHunt, it has to be because the bar is designed by a guy and they don't care! not fair but most likely true! |

Perhaps it is from back in the day when ladies weren't actually allowed frequent Public Houses
Also ladies go to the loo in packs and enjoy the additional distance to natter more |
