He hypes the fights up and plays mind games and yes he's that most heinous of things to Irish people, self confident. He's a showman, like Ali was, would you say Ali was disrespectful? If and its a big if, he beats Diaz, that in itself would demand respect. Not many fighters in any form will go up two weight divisions and win. The only way McGregor can win this fight is by boxing clever. He needs to stay away from Diaz as much as possible. Stay on his feet and avoid too many spin kicks. He won't approach this fight as a sprint, more like a marathon. Were if he can reach the finish line, he's in with a shout. Have you been following him at all? He goes on rants about wrestling stars and how pathetic they are, disrespting how far they've come and had to train to get where they are. You'd think with his past he'd show some respect for other athletes and entertainers, but no. Conor being Irish doesn't make him the most deserving. Equality/fairness for all I see all people in the same light without favoritism because of which country they were born in.
His talk, disrespect to others, show boating and basically being a knob before the fights is all for show, ofcourse some are going to hate the fecker, but all his talk, backing it up by taking any fight that will see him paid stupid money shows hes got his head screwed on well.
